hi we just got back from there yesterday the weather was fab but 1 day of rain and it was cloudy or dull in the mornings we all mnaged to get a tan, the place was not that busy to be honest . watch out for the holiday / timeshare touts they were a nightmare!!!!!!! they convince you you have won big prizes from free scratch cards to get u in the building to sell to you, we saw loads of people been taken in. we stayed just outside playas de las americas . feel like getting back on a plane now i am freezing since we got back. oh and be careful with over weight luggage on the way back they were very strict with people.IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!:j:money:0

Thanks Carole. Hope you had a brill break! Useful to know it is worth packing the umbrella as well as a cardie for the mornings.
Re luggage weight, I was thinking of doing a bit of shopping whilst out there but I don't think there is a ZARA or Massimo Dutti around that area so gutted there will be no chance of going over!DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
yes we had a great time thanks. u need a cardi / fleece or hoodie for the mornings or evenings. there is a zara that someone was saying was really good value it's in costa adjies ( not sure of spelling sorry) about 10 mins from las americas, also the booze was not cheaper than the supermarket special offers here. there was lots of really cheap resteraunts all trying to outdo each other with offers. have a good oneIT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!:j:money:0

Hi
I'm a bit busy today, but before tomorrow i will pm you some stuff.
yes there is a zarah, but it isn't in costa adeje, it is going towards los cristianos, in the safari shopping center, which has loads of nice shops.
I would take a cardi for night, as it can tend to get a bit cool, hubby doesnt bother says he is hard.
I've been in january and i've been in the sea, so you should be ok.
timeshare touts, yes they are there, but not a problem just say no, if you stop then they have got you.
never been a problem to us, we just don't look at them, never stop and just a polite no mate does the trick.
there are free safes in palm beach, so your ok there.
I always take about £100 in euros which i take from home, then i change my money there, never bother with travellers cheques. You won't be conned, there is a nice little exchange place next door, and it says no commission. So yo will be ok there.
Oh you dont' need to take beach towels if you dont' want, you can hire them from palm beach for 9 euros each a week. We do this, cause we like to spend time on the beach, and like a fresh towel each day. just go down stairs to the beach area, and rent them from there. You can then change them each night, or morning whichever.0 -
There's a Mango shop in PDLA as well, near the Conquistador hotel.0

10 euros for a liter of vodka smirnoff, makes it £7 a bottle.
Not seen this as cheap at home.
