MSE News: Broadband price hikes of up to 15% expected in April – what we know so far

I've just received my price increase letter; have been a Virgin customer for several years and only 6 months into an 18 month contract with them again, but will definitely be doing research in to what's on offer elsewhere.
I currently pay £26 for BB, price increase is £7 per month from 1st May, which is a whopping 26.9% increase! I think not!
Absolutely more than happy to vote with my feet if they're not willing to compromise.
Their future plan is to increase prices every April at inflation +3.9%, so a minimum of 3.9% every year! Guessing this is an end to any good or long-term deals!0
