rerouted - Taxi at destination?

Easyjet has cancelled our outbound flight from Manchester to Faro and offered us an alternative on the same day at roughly the same times, but from Liverpool to Faro. We have a car park booked in Manchester and the return flight is still Faro to Manchester. I don't think we're entitled to compensation, but should they cover the taxi cost from Manchester to Liverpool?

Although not spelt out in the regulations themselves, the CAA's view is that the cost of ground transportation should be reclaimable (although not necessarily by taxi if public transport is available):Re-routing via alternative airportshttp://publicapps.caa.co.uk/docs/33/Re-routing Guidance (CAP2155).pdf
6.8 Where airlines offer to re-route passengers to / from a different airport than the original flight, the airline should organise the transport to / from that airport. The CAA does not expect airlines to fail in this obligation. However, where such a failure occurs, the airline should provide prompt re-imbursement of any expenses incurred by affected passengers in travelling to / from the alternative airport and should inform the affected passenger directly, for example by email, about how to make a claim.
Are you writing off compensation on the basis that the flight is more than two weeks away?1 -

Yes, this flight is in June, so outwith the compo window.0 -
I think if in June, having given you fair warning (and presumably to option to cancel with a full refund), that they will be unlikely to accommodate your taxi bill MAN-LPL-MAN.0

I would expect that Manchester - Faro in June would mean a number of alternatives are available on other airlines? Have you looked into this?1

For a flight as far ahead as June, you can't lose anything by asking EasyJet what arrangement they have made for the transfer from Manchester to Liverpool.
They may simply say it is all down to you.
At least, by asking, you are giving them the opportunity to minimise costs.
If you have to book the transfer yourself, are there alternatives to taxi?
https://www.welcomepickups.com/manchester/airport-to-liverpool/#:~:text=Taking a Manchester airport taxi or private car will cost,70 minutes to reach Liverpool.
If you do ask EasyJet, be prepared for a silly (but compliant) answer.
I once had a KLM flight booked from Heathrow and it was changed to London City outbound. KLM's "transfer" was to Dubai (with around 8-hour stop), then Ankara then London City, the whole transfer time was the best part of 24-hours.
KLM agreed I could simply just go to London City myself but were clear in doing so that any cost was not claimable as KLM had offered a suitable transfer compliant with the regulations.

Easyjet has allowed us to move both flights so they are now from Liverpool. Now trying to move the car park booking.... Sigh.1
