Stop the annoying "Get our free Weekly tips email"

The site is becoming very annoying with this popup. Despite setting a popup blocker it still appears every time I access a page in moneysavingexpert.com, click the x to defeat it and it just reappears as soon as you move page. Despite logging in it still appears. Surely there has to be a way for the system to know that you are already a subscriber and not popup?

Install an ad blocker extension on your browser or find the 'disable pop ups' option - either should get rid. (I've never seen this pop-up in years of using the site).1

Hi @Shugg_McGlummfer
There are, indeed, many places on our main site that suggest you subscribe to the weekly email.
But the banners, like the one below, should remember your choice - dependent on your browser setup.
If, when you first visited MoneySavingExpert, you rejected "Functional Cookies" in our Cookie Consent popup, this would mean that you've denied us permission to remember that you dismissed the banner.
You can check if this is the case - and change your cookie settings on our Cookie Policy Page (Click on How can I control or delete these cookies?).Join the MSE Forum

Don't really think that page is much help, sorry!

HI @J_B
With the popup on that page set to allow "Functional Cookies", I never see the yellow banner.
It's possible that browsers or extensions may be set up to restrict cookies in a way that blocks that cookie from working as it should

@J_BYou have to click the link under "How can I control or delete these cookies?". This should show you the popup

Hi @J_B
I tried a few things but haven't been able to reproduce.
I can use the popup with Firefox even with its Enhanced Protection set to Strict.
If you email furtherhelp@moneysavingexpert.com, they'll be able to make sure your email gets to the right people.
