We act for the Claimant in the above matter.
Our client has instructed us to discontinue Court proceedings and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the Claimant’s N279 Notice of Discontinuance for your records.
The attached has also been filed with the Court.
We will now proceed to close our file accordingly.
Although nothing in the email to suggest they've actually sent this to the court. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

If they don't discontinue, DCBL get spanked in court and they don't want that ..... AND today we see a MEGA spanking in court over 6 alleged parking events. DCBL fancied their luck AND FAILED.
The_Loner facing a claim of £1700 most of this was scam money, won his case against DCBL and UKPC

The_Loner followed the advice on this forum and got DCBL spanked by a judge. strongly suggesting .... do DCBL actually know what they are doing with total, utter rubbish UKPC claims.

Not surprising at all - happens every time with single PCN cases. You were a number on a very long list and DCBLegal / UKPC are just after easy money and not hearings.
Congrats on being one of hundreds on Umkomaas' thread of discontinuances! Well done. Yay!
A discontinuance = a win!
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!And we sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation soon?
Anticipated to start THIS MONTH.
We all need to ram the nail in the coffin of the false £70 'DRA fee' add-on, that actually funds the court claim and toxic CCJ culture, as well as the DRA and roboclaim 'legals' gaslighting of people.
Please come back here when it opens.
If you are not a regular reader, to be alerted you'll need to bookmark the thread by MSE_JC at the top of the forum and enable (on your profile) email alerts for bookmarked threads.
Then join us when the Consultation opens. ...PLEASE!
We need all MSE-reading victims of this horrific harassment and bullying by parking firms and their hired 'legals' to be heard.
See you back here in a couple of weeks please if you and your motoring family want to stop this litigation rush by banning the £70 add-on fee that disproportionately funds the roboclaim firms.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
