    "PCN issued 6 years ago."

So with a couple of timely emails, you could possibly have timed them out, had you come here at LBC stage.  Never mind, you will get a discontinuance before any hearing, as long as you follow all our advice.

Please show us your intended points 2 and 3 that you intend to fit in within the Template Defence.  Don't show us the whole template please!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just use the template defence as signposted by @KeithP and add your specific points as paragraph 2 & 3

I actually did come here when I received an LBC from CST Law, but that was over a year ago and once I received the SAR information back in 2021 I contacted CST to explain all of the points I made on my first post, I never heard anything else from them or UKPC until another LBC was sent by DCB Legal.

Yep and that (DCBLegal LBC) was the point at which you could have timed the whole claim out!  Loads of people have done here very easily.

    Never mind.  Defend...

I didn't even realise there was a time limit until recently, I would have had to string them along for over 4 months to reach the 6 year mark, not sure if that would have been possible.

It was possible - seen it done - but too late now.

Received a surprising email today, after being called by DCB Legal last week with an offer to settle before they take me to court, they've now decided to discontinue :D

We act for the Claimant in the above matter.

Our client has instructed us to discontinue Court proceedings and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the Claimant’s N279 Notice of Discontinuance for your records.

The attached has also been filed with the Court.

We will now proceed to close our file accordingly.

Although nothing in the email to suggest they've actually sent this to the court.

    Doesn't this...

...suggest they've sent it to the court?

    Anyway, well done.

I'm not putting much stock in that, I'd sooner believe they've told me that so I don't turn up to court.

Well you can always phone the court and ask them.
Leave it a few days... maybe next week.
