Do you need to hold this £2.5k for 12 months to get £50 ?easysaver said:CMC have launched a transfer bonus from 2nd March to 30th June.

Applies to GIA as well as ISA - £50 for £2.5k up to £250 for £50k if held for at least 12 months.
Not sure I fancy transferring an ISA across but what about funding a GIA with £5k in something cash-like then transferring it to CMC to pocket the £100 bonus (rate of 2%). Something SONIA like would return nearly 6% overall.12. If an Eligible Customer partially or fully transfers any asset from their Account to a different provider within 12 months of the first Eligible Transfer, then the Eligible Customer must return the Transfer Bonus to CMC Invest. CMC Invest may liquidate assets held in the Eligible Customer’s Account to recover any Transfer Bonus amount.

There's a link to the offer T&Cs including eligibility requirements in the OP.flopsy1973 said:Hi opened this last night and funded with 50 pound but did I need to do it via promotional link to get the bonus ?

I didn't use a link when I registered at weekend, and I received my bonus this morning. Couple of working days.flopsy1973 said:Hi opened this last night and funded with 50 pound but did I need to do it via promotional link to get the bonus ?
PS cheers to the OP for this one, I'm late to the party but made it in time!

I also opened an account at the weekend and got my £50 bonus today.
I've done what we always tell everyone not to do, and taken a punt on a single company share. So far I'm 90p down. But this isn't 'important' money to me so I'll ride it out and see what happens. Unless it loses 50% of its value which is unlikely, I'm still up on the deal

Which company? I might punt too but obviously don't want to pick your loser choice.TheBanker said:I also opened an account at the weekend and got my £50 bonus today.

but it's a FTSE 100 company as they're the only UK shares you can trade in I think. 0 -

Same here - single company - except that I only opened the account last night, ID approved this morning, and I've only invested £51 so far (at about the same buy price HL was showing)
The other £50 from the bonus can go in when it's ex-dividend next week, might get 21 shares instead of 20, or might add something else.
I can see this might be interesting for building up very modest holdings without dealing charges0 -
Yes, thanks to the OP.
Both myself and Mrs MMMee signed-up and are having a competition to see who can Make * the most money by Christmas.
We both started with £100 (£50 invested + £50 bonus) and so far she has chosen a couple of shares and intends to hang-on to them, whilst I have gone for dividends and bought and sold them around the ex-dividend dates.
A fortnight in, I am £3.99 up, with L&G shares going ex-dividend tomorrow, which will bring another £5.43, but that could get wiped out if the shares don't bounce back quick smart & I get bored and flog them before they do.
Can't see it lasting, but it is kind of fun.
Mrs MMMee tells me that she is doing better with her shares, mind
* Lose the least, probably1 -
Anyone found any low risk short term assets I can put my money on . Had my bonus this morn0
