And we have until the 13th to pay or CCJ!0

Are you 100% certain you actually attached your defence to the email.1

Urgent phone call tomorrow then !!2

Ok so, spoke to CCBC and they’ve received the complaint.
I sent it on the 20/02/23, was filed on 03/03/2023, so the working 10 days to get a reply, start on the 3rd not the 20th according to the person i spoke to, which makes sense, as i did not get a reply, as of yet. Also, when asked if they’ve got my defence, originally sent on the 6th of Jan, was told they do not have it, i also sent it with my complaint, and again they do not have it regardless, so there is definitely a black hole in their email. The whole thing is in a shambles and totally unfit for purpose (in my limited opinion).
The woman also confirmed, the CCJ was issued. We have until the 13th to pay, so it gets removed from file.

If it was attached to the complaint (and it was a PDF) and they have the complaint, then clearly they do have the defence.
If you pay it off you will struggle to get it set aside later because there will be no CCJ to set aside.
One poster was in your shoes about 3 months ago and they made the mistake (I think) of paying it to prevent the temporary credit damage of a CCJ.
The CCBC then admitted fault and reinstated the defence.
When the poster asked the scum 'legal' firm to refund his money, they refused, saying it had been 'his choice' to pay.
I believe the PPC then discontinued the claim, leaving him high and dry except for complaint recourse to the CCBC for causing him loss (but they also refused, saying it had been his 'choice' to pay instead of waiting for it to be sorted).
Just to put you in the picture!
Trouble is, I can't make your decision for you NOT to pay, because we can't guarantee the CCBC will be with you if you didn't get an acknowledgement email at all (the other chap did).

Rock...Hard place.. I'd say it was unbelievable, but sadly it's not.
I still can't fathom how these atrocious, hideous scammers have been allowed to extort who knows how much from innocent, honest people. Allowed to set their own warped and biased standards!
CM I just hope all your hard work pays off and it's a significant nail in the PPC coffin.4 -
