When I have candles that tunnel. In spite of trimming the wick and burning for 4 hours..I chip the remaining wax and use in the wax melts7

I was caulking some new wood the other day. I had lots of caulk left on my hands. We went out for a curry and the wipe cleaned it straight off. I wondered if there was a bit of alcohol in the wipe.4

I've been having a sort out and just remembered one thing I don't think I saw mentioned in this thread so thought I'd resurrect it. When organising smaller items I've found those small see-through plastic coin bags you can get for free from the banks (where they still exist) are invaluable.
I put smaller wires, such as phone chargers etc in individual coin bags which allows me to keep them all in one box without having the irritation of untaffling a load of wires only to find that the one I'm after isn't in there. I've sorted screws, nails etc by length and type in this way too along with paper clips, rubbers etc.

I got my sewing kit out to sew some name labels into my clothes and there was the old 35mm camera film cases holding my needles, threads and buttons. Memories.

I use a fair bit of danish oil. The lids stick after a while. Turning the tin upside down in a cup of warm water eases the lid.8

That reminds me of another one Green_hopeful. When you think you've finished a bottle of Bailey's, screw the top back on and leave it upside down for a few minutes. Still upside down, carefully open it and you'll have another (tiny) drink in the capI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.10
