Netflix now working again for me after 3 weeks of just facing the spinning wheel every time I tried to connect.

YouGov Finance accounts very strange. Last weekend I reconnected 2 Halifax accounts but didn't have any points credited. I emailed support and haven't had a reply, but the timescale to re-consent has today dropped from 87 days to 15. I'll have to see if they'll re-consent in a couple of days & generate points.

This has happened a couple of times to me too, definitely a glitch somewhere. I didn't get any extra points, in fact when I eventually got a reply the gist of it was the timescale change never happened.

Halifax has been a bit glitchy for me too. It is the only bank that requires full reauthentication to renew the connection. Last time after getting the points, the connection was reset as if it had not renewed. I ignored this and let them apparently expire as I didn't expect to get another set of points. I have just renewed all of mine again, so we shall see what happens this time.

Hi All, thanks for this thread.

Apologies if this has been asked before in the many previous pages.

I'm making use of the switching offers going at the moment, and have a Chase account, so could make multiple current accounts to add to yougov.finance for the quarterly points, so a couple of questions on timing and sequence if anyone could help please?

What happens if the account is switched away, meaning the account linked to yougov is closed - from what I've read here they won't take the points back once they are issued? so if you create a new Chase account, add it to yougov, get the points and then switch it, does it have any negative consequences with yougov for the future?

With the above in mind, how long does it take for a current account to have the points paid once it has been added to yougov?

Could you rinse and repeat this until you have 10 current accounts in yougov?

I realise you can only have 10 Chase CAs, I would probably add a couple of switched CAs that have minimal activity to creat a full ten, in case I want to spend on one of the Chase CAs for the 1% cashback and therefore don't want to add it to yougov.

    Thanks in advance!

AFAIK, Chase isn't one of the banks supported by YouGov. Unsure what happens if you switch away/close an account which is linked, but I presume if you'd already been paid the points then you'll be okay. It's usually 48 hours or so from linking an account to the points being available, and then another few days to redeem the points into cash.

They also seem to have issues with newly opened accounts, where they must look for some account activity or something as a few people have reported linking accounts and being told they are ineligible for points.

Ah cheers, doesn't look like Chase is a goer.  Have other burner accounts I could use but they are mostly too new from switching, so will wait a bit.  Thanks!

FWIW you don't need to worry about switching out an account. If you do, the only consideration is you wouldn't be able to renew the connection and your new account would need to build up some transaction history before it will be accepted.
I've had no issues on a few occasions adding a new account with 3-4 transactions that has been open for a couple of weeks.

You can only claim the £50 reward once you have 5,000 points in your YouGov account. The points seem to turn up the next day after you add each account. The £50 reward into your current account is very fast, usually same day for me
