Wondering if anyone heard anything on the rumour mill about the possible changes mentioned a month or two ago?
I have Halifax and Tesco cards that I don't use much, Tesco not for a year, I get the points but I would like to close the cards but losing the points is annoying!
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Not sure what the changes are that you refer to but I've had no notifications of changes, other than the "verify your account to get your moolah earlier" offer.

User pecunianonolet claiming to be in the know (page 139 & 143)
The bit about verified users being able to cash out early was true
If YouGov indeed is willing to leave the cards alone, that is fine but I will eventually want to kill off 3 credit cards as they fall out of use but the points are useful!

IIRC, there is a YouGov condition that the account/card must have had at least one transaction in the last 30 (?) days to count for points

Not in my case, 2 of my 7 surviving accounts have had no activity at all for months yet still cough up 5 pts/day.

that’s good to know

I still get points for NatWest, Halifax and Tesco despite zero use, 13 months for Tesco, NatWest I did 1 for less than a pound when they were going to close it for lack of use. Tesco has a good limit but the existing customer BT and MT offers are laughable, NatWest much lower but has decent offers sometimes, not always when I could use them! Halifax gave me a decent cashback offer for a couple of months so using that but after that, no real to keep them longer though - I'd like to close all 3 and an HSBC one when the BT is paid off but that would be 20 points a day or the £50 every 250 days just from those 4. I'd rather in a way they just ended it by force so I didn't need to make the decision lol
