Sorry in an above post you said to talk to them and offer the original £60?

I would never say "talk" to them!

    I said:

"But you could reply to BW and reiterate the £60 offer because it looks far more reasonable to show the Judge who does assess the case, that you made every effort to resolve a PCN you knew nothing about."

REPLY means by email or letter.

How else will you be able to show the Judge that you tried to resolve this unknown PCN?  You need a paper or email trail.

I see, I will email them and do it that way then. Thank you for the advice so far, gutted I took legal advice and haven’t been able to fight it properly. To be honest I’d not long had a baby and I don’t want the added stress but also don’t want to pay them additional money they don’t deserve!

I have emailed multiple times, bwlegal & the original claimant, no replies but have evidence that I have tried to reason/settle with them at least. Directions questionnaire has been completed & mediation offered. Is there anything more I can do for now? Also when I’m assuming this goes to court, I’m unsure how to defend.

Who completed the DQ and who offered mediation?  You or the claimant?

My only advice is, stop thinking BW legal will see any sort of common sense or compassion towards you in any circumstance. They are switched off to emotions and you're just a name with a pound coin sign next to

I’m aware they are just after my money, I am also trying to show if it goes to court that I’ve tried to mediate with them and have proof via email that I have

But have you or have you not agreed to mediation?  What do you think will happen at the mediation phone call?
Mediator: - "cds1234 - how much do you want to pay?"
    cds1234 - "£ZERO"
Mediator: - "claimant, how much will you accept?"
    Claimant: - "£FULL"
    End of mediation!
