Old house we had Bosch this house neff but as others same bit of kit but the Bosch was better. When our WM failed our local repair guy said you cannot go wrong with Bosch as parts are in plentiful supply where as other makes he struggles with0

I would recommend a Bosch, ive got a dishwasher from them at the moment and its been great.
Worth having a look at AO outlet on ebay, we had our oven and dishwasher from there!0 -
I've got a slimline Beko dishwasher. It's 6 years old and has never missed a beat - even at Christmas where it handled the aftermath of a sit down meal for 15 people.

Hi, we've just bought another full size Beko from John Lewis. The whole thing cost £333 - for the machine, installation and removal of old machine and all packaging. Delivery people were fast, efficient and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Our last dishwasher was a Beko and it served us really well for 16 years without any failure. The only time it failed was when it broke down and died, time to replace. It owed us nothing.
I'd have gone for a Bosch, maybe, but my friend's Bosch dishwasher recently broke down after only 5 years and we had been so happy with the Beko.
So we've gone for Beko again. So far, so brilliant. And with John Lewis, we have a two year guarantee, rather than the standard one year.
All in all, very happy with Beko.
We have also had to replace our frost free fridge freezer which was a Bosch that let us down after 18 years. We were able to afford another Bosch frost free fridge freezer - also from JL, also great service and also two year guarantee - and were happy since our old Bosch owed us nothing either.
Next thing we're waiting to go is the cooker! Might get another Beko as our old one is a Beko, seemingly a bit poorly after 18 years. . . has served us well though. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Gavin83 said:I have a relatively new Bosch Fridge Freezer and Dishwasher and both do the job well enough. Like DullGreyGuy I also get a corporate discount with them which did sway me a bit. Once upon a time I used to sell Dishwashers and even then Hotpoint was considered a budget brand.
When we redo our kitchen and assuming we have the money (because they really aren't cheap!) I like the idea of getting the double doored Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher. They're a thing of beauty, obviously a premium brand and I'd find the double door aspect useful, especially given there's only two of us.
Anyway, I'm waffling. You won't go wrong with Bosch.
Nowadays I'd go for a mid-range mid-price machine that has the features I want and hope for the best.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1 -
Have a slimline integrated Bosch and never missed a beat. Still working after 15+ years. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

When we bought our current house in 2017 there was a brand new slimline Bosch dishwasher in it, never been used. The elderly lady who had passed away obviously continued to wash up by hand despite the efforts of her family. It was used for a year by our tenants, then when we moved in it failed after a few months, so it was out of guarantee, but only been used for just over 2 years. The local repair man asked for the serial number and said it was part of a bad batch made in Spain and was unlikely to be worthwhile repairing. We've made do with a second hand full size Bosch for £60 whilst waiting to reformat the kitchen. We were surprised as our previous 2 Bosch machines were both good. However the interior space in this newer model was less than the older ones which we didn't like. Will be going for a full size replacement, not sure if we may go for Siemens or Meile.Make £2025 in 2025

I suppose even if one goes wrong, we have a second to use while we wait for repair, and the two of them combined give more space and flexibility than any full size machine.0 -
Any thoughts on indesit? Looks to be part of the whirlpool group, as is hotpoint, but don’t want to tar it with the hotpoint brush if that’s unfair!
What I can’t decide is whether it’s worth paying say £450 over £350 - this strikes me as having some extra features like smart phone control which I absolutely don’t want or need, rather than reliability. Also more programs, well I use about 3 (quick, intensive and glass clean occasionally), so am wondering if it’s worth paying £300-350 for a model to last a couple of years or go into the realms of £600/700 etc to aim for greater reliability. Rather pay £700 now for 6 years than £300 3 times in that period. But how on earth do I get comfort that I’m actually getting better reliability?0
