Suggestions for standalone PORTABLE Music player for Spotify etc

Hi all
I am looking for recommendations for a small STANDALONE MP3 player that has Bluetooth and a screen so I can use with Spotify. If such a thing exists…?
Here’s why… Rewind to last summer. I’m on the beach wearing only my swim shorts. I pack my £1,000 iPhone in my shorts for a walk down the beach whilst I’m playing tunes through Spotify. Later on I miss an important Email on my iPhone because I’ve used up the battery because I was using the phone for Spotify. Fast forward to 1 hour later and I pick my phone out of my pocket to fast forward a song and drop it into the sand. Now my expensive iPhone has sand inside the lightening port. So, I’ve run down my battery, dropped the phone in sand and now don’t have enough battery to make a contactless payment for an ice cold Bud from the beach bar. If only there was a small standalone device that does nothing other than play MP3’s and Spotify. If only it was lighter and cheaper than the mini PC (iPhone) I was carrying in my pocket earlier. If it had Bluetooth, (so I could listen through my wireless earbuds) that would be cool.
Years ago I had a tiny MP3 player that was about the size of a Monoloply dice. Admittedly it didn’t have Bluetooth or any amazing features but I could literally clip it to my cap when I went cycling or walking etc
Now, I know Google may be my friend but I’m also looking to save money and make the best purchasing choice.
What’s your thoughts guys?
Thanks in advance.

A smartwatch would do all you need, including paying for the beer. Get the 4g version and leave your iPhone in your room.

Sony NW-A100 Walkman. It runs on Android so you should be able to load the Spotify app. You can also load it up with audio files like MP3.

Wow! That Sony is expensive. When looking I noticed loads more Sony devices. Do these do the same job too?0

To play from Spotify it will need a data connection, so basically it is then a phone.
Why not just get a powerbank so you don't run out of charge?

I'm guessing you've got two options - either stream from Spotify, which means using a device that has a data connection either to the internet or via 4G connectivity, like a phone or an MP3 player/streamer with a sim card which connect to 4G
Or get an MP3 play and download your music to it . You can get them from Amazon or other specialist dealers depending on how much you want to pay and how keen you are for features, functions and perceived quality - anywhere between £20 and £2000
Here are a few you could try out. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Best-Sellers-MP3-Digital-Audio-Players/zgbs/electronics/573372Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers2 -
I have a soft spot for my Q-BE MP3 player which cost me over a hundred quid for the 512MB version back in 2005.
It still works.
