I sell quite a lot of things second hand on depop, and an item was purchased towards the end of November 2022. I used the inpost locker service to send this parcel, as it was tracked and that meant I knew where the parcel was and when it had been delivered. I dropped the parcel off to my local locker on 29th November 2022 at 2:19pm and it was collected from the locker on 30th November 2022 at 11:47am. The app then updated to say it was received at a sort centre in Nottingham on 30th November 2022 and 4:36pm. It then arrived ata sorting centre in oldbury on 1st December 2022 at 11:16am. There has been no tracking since!
I have contacted inpost multiple times and I was told that the tracking hadn’t been updated in a few weeks which I could see and I was also asked a number of questions on 30th December surrounding the parcel. This is the last I have heard from the company. I have refunded the buyer of the item, as I couldn’t tell her where the parcel was and I thought that was the best way to deal with the situation. However, I feel that the company have lost the parcel and are just not wanting to admit it as surely the parcel should’ve arrived by now (I sent another parcel at the same time and it arrived within around 4 days).
Is there anything more I can do or anyone else I can contact about this? I am getting quite concerned as they are not responding which is making me believe that the parcel has now gone missing. Just wondering where I stand and if anyone can help! Thankyou so much

I would raise a claim for compensation for a lots item assuming you haven't.Then escalate that through their formal process if they don't respond. It might be if they have a large volume of items, things are taking a while to sort but that's not your concern.May you find your sister soon Helli.

Does depop not have a procedure for loss? I haven’t used it so I don’t know the rules and regs but on Vinted they supply the labels and as long as it shows as being in the system then seller is covered and Vinted refund the buyer , I believe this is because Vinted themselves provide the label and are the only ones that can make a claim from Inpost.
loads of problems around Inpost though, just before Christmas they seemed to go though a complete melt down, parcels being wrongly delivered everywhere and tracking just stopping. I lost one which Vinted refunded but there are even FB groups trying to reunite buyers with the correct items as people ordering things were getting totally random other things turn up or nothing at all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
