I just had a call from 0800 8620818 wanting to check I was OK with my Sky account; they asked me to confirm my name & address, which I did.
They then asked me for my password and I said No.
They then asked my for one of my other security questions and I said No.
They then said they could ask me for some bank details and I said I wasn't going to give that information to someone who had phoned me.

I guess another way is to give a false incorrect password. If they say OK then you know it's not Sky. If they say sorry that's wrong then you know it might be Sky !0

normally they ask for a specific digit pf your password - not the whole thing.0

Sky always ask for your password when talking to you on the phone. This isn’t the password you use to login to your online Sky account though and it’s perfectly safe to give to them. When joining Sky they ask you for a password to use so they can confirm it is the account holder they’re talking to. Also I’ve been asked by them for certain digits from the bank account my payments to them come from when I forgot that password. If you didn’t call them though, and don’t need to speak to them, then better to be safe than sorry.0

I never answer a number that is not stored, I then google it:

If negative comments, number is blocked.0
