Broadband recommendations

Depending on network, you can get good enough speed for streaming videos and you will have only a SIM contract with your network provider.
This is same as using your mobile hotspot but the router will be mains powered so you can keep it on 24 hours and if you take unlimited data plan you have no need to worry about breaching data limit.Hello - just jumping in on this as looking to downsize broadband cost wise also. This suggestion sounds appealing to me - do you know if I could modify the network so that there is a Guest wifi sign in within this i.e. - as can do with say Virgin ?Thank you!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I'm moving home next month too and my contract with Talktalk comes to an end in March.
I went for the Virgin deal recommended on MSE
After I cancelled talktalk they rang me and eventually offered me fibre 65 at £21.95 with £130 Cashback. Works out at just over £14 a month 18 months
Ring your supplier regarding cancelling you may get a good deal0 -
Where I live two Fibre companies (Gigaclear and Swish - there may be more) have dug up the road for new cables. We're on BT and, happily, get a good 50-plus Mbps down and 13 up connection which meets all our needs at around £50 a month, not including the phone line.
We're not keen on having a trench dug across our drive anyway, but their offers are tempting and BT are lined up to increase the fees in April, so I would appreciate any advice on negotiating a deal with BT. My hearing is not good so I try to email when possible (talking can be a nightmare for both ends) so advice for an old buffer would be most welcome
FYI, Swish are offering:150 Mbps Upload + Download, 18-month contract (with first six months free), £30 per month, and free activation, with similar for 400Mbps at £45 and £75 for 900Mbps connections.0 -

No need for digging up drives, so worth checking with them to get a better deal.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Getting Virgin Gigabit BB + phone for £40 here, other companies offering similar for around the same. I guess competition actually works and Virgin are having to look hard at their pricing when haggle time comes...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
