How did you manage  to get your cheque I called 01274 062 751 and nothing happen?
  • I ask for they're email so I could make it clear I didn't want them to act on my behalf it bounced!
  • Same thing has happened to me l spoke to hrmc and said that l did not want them to deal with this company again on my behalf, incredibly they said that they couldn't do that unless the company informed them!! I sent them a letter telling them to contact hrmc to advise them that they are not to have any more dealings with them on my tax account, l have also put in a complaint to hrmc ...l cannot believe that although they know that this company are scammers they are still sending tax refund cheques to them . I advise anyone else who has been scammed to do the same, l aso reported them to the police fraud office in the hope that eventually someone will put a stop to this. I emailed the company again yesterday to ask where my cheque is and supposedly it's to be sent out this week....watch this space! Sorry this is long winded but l am so angry especially with hrmc

It's no fault of HMRC. If you authorised this company to act as your agent to process your claim, then HMRC have no option but to comply: you are effectively granting them a POA over your tax affairs.

Exactly this - you can't authorise an agent and then withdraw halfway through. HMRC are sending the cheque to Check My Group because by signing up online with them, that's what you told HMRC to do.
In the future try going to GOV.UK and claiming the money back yourself. That way you'll know you're getting everything you're entitled to.

I spoke to Action Fraud. It is illegal what they are doing. THey sent me the forms to sign and they wanted me to sign something stating that I asked them to act on my behalf. They already had my cheque so why did they need this now. Honestly I was on the phone to HMRC for about 3 days but thankfully they removed them as they are realising this is happening. Try them again they did it for me. The other way is to request it i writing to the HMRC.
    Check my Groups email address

LAst correspondence I had with them was on 26th May when I told them there was no way I am signing that. They tried calling me and sending me an amended agreement.
Fool me once Shame on me.........
