    If your budget allows, I'd go for a new ceiling but not with a textured finish. Black mould loves nooks and crannies and is a pain to deal with. Having said that, Dulux and Zinsser make some excellent anti-mould paints that have kept my mould at bay for going on five years now.

    Decided to go for over boarding and skim, he charged £515 and seems to have done a good job. He said plaster should be dry within 48 hours just leave the window open. Is that enough time?

    It'll be dry when it's all light pink. Almost there :smile:
    Who is going to paint it? Worth using proper bathroom paint, and proper prep.
