How do I go about fixing this?

It looks like a crack between 2 boards to me
If it has only just happened let it develop and see where it goes
Have you been doing anything above it like in the loft if it's upper floor ?0 -
I see some blisters as well. Paper lining to hide some old problem? What sort of ceiling is it? How old is the house?0

When I say nothing above it I mean no work being done!0 -

Nothing is being hidden by plaster lining.0 -

Leave it for a while see if it gets worse, no point dealing with that bit if the crack is going to get longer.
If it is artex then you would only need to brush some fine filler into the crack
Edit
I notice house age, the ceiling might not be boards it maybe lath and plaster1 -
Hi
How old is the property and is it one of those, up and over type?

Imo that artex has been put on to cover a bad ceiling in the past. Most probably a crack between the boards, nothing to worry about.
I would get some filler and use your finger to fill it and then you can smooth it in the same direction as the swirl’s. Using a filling knife would leave an edge.2 -
If that's the only ceiling crack in a 1940s house you are doing really well.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
