  • Can see this post is 2 yrs old. I also have zero credit card for years and this is the first time I have been charged with this quasi interest. Will ring Santander to find out more 
    What does your monthly statement indicate that you may not recognise as being classed as a cash purchase ?

    TBH. Unless someone lists their purchases or posts their statement. (Even then best guess) All anyone can say is what the root cause is.
    Where as contacting Santander or your card co for other providers. Will see a staff member being able to tell them exactly which purchase it was 🤷‍♀️
    I meant did the OP clock any transaction(s) which are not part of their regular spending pattern - apologies,I should have been clearer.
