There is no fee to install a prepayment meter .
The £90 would be charged for when the meter installer is either refused access or occupier is not answering the door when coming for a prearranged prepayment meter install

Prepay meters are the cheapest way of reclaiming debt  when the weekly repay can be as low as £4 a week with a max of around £14 a week . It used to be £16 max when I was on the job but I think its been lowered .

Problem is that they will be back another day so the occupier has to comply at some stage as the debt has increased for no reason .
