Extension doesnt show on title deeds

I would probably remarket it if they don't drop it because this is just the beginning. There is a long process to go and what other unreasonable requests will he have.
His solicitor seriously needs to sort him out if they are wasting their time entertaining this request.0 -
Thanks we will go back to the EA.0

Time to start re-marketing.
This buyer has no understanding, and what's worse is (must be) ignoring his own solicitor's advice.
Even if you by some miracle you get the LR to 'update' the Title Plan (unlikely, and if hey do it will tale months) this buyer will find some other 'problem'.....
Give the buyer a deadline and meanwhile, instruct your EA to start looking for a more sensible buyer.0 -
LR won't update any plan as its not their role. They aren't involved in the transaction so won't agree changes to a legal document.
They check plans submitted and if acceptable record what is prepared by the seller and agreed by the buyer.

If you have not already heard from them ask your ea for the name and contact details for their sales progressor, explain to them the issue and ask them to speak to the buyer.0

We register the general boundaries using the OS detail available at the time of registrationacsmith99 said:We are selling our house and buyers has done all searches etc. However he says the title deeds dont show the small extension at the front of the house and he wants us to get the title deeds changed. Our newish neighbours title deed show this extension. How can we get this sorted??
Buildings change shape over time but the general boundaries don’t so we wouldn’t update a title plan to show a new extension as the boundary hasn’t changed. We are after all a Land Registry and the land doesn’t change shape in this context
NB - replied to DM also“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Land Registry. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"4 -
Thanks everyone for all the advice etc. We have gone back to the EA and asked the sales progressor to contact buyers and inform them of the comments and the reply from the LR.We will then give a deadline to respond before remarketing.5
