Charged £90 for a hire car that never materialised

Thank you respondents. The charge back was successful!
The Ryanair app advertises that is uses a number of leading providers, but at point of booking didn't specify. The airport in Greece was a small one and had 3 desks covering the major brands, all of whom we tried. The fact that they had taken payment initially was enough for us to assume the booking was successful and a more detailed email would follow. However, we both have extremely busy jobs and forgot about it! The lady at the Hertz desk in the airport on arrival was very helpful and booked us an alternative, I'd recommend them!
Either way. The problem was resolved. Thank you for everyone's help.1 -

Do you mean the bank has credited your account whilst it contacts the merchant to investigate? That is normally what happens. The merchant then has a time period to investigate and respond. If after investigation the chargeback is denied or proven in the merchants favour, the bank can reinstate the charge.
