I know Sketchers get lots of good reviews for feet problems, they also do slippers that look quite supportive and sturdy.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

I like Skechers, I have a few pairs.annabanana82 said:I know Sketchers get lots of good reviews for feet problems, they also do slippers that look quite supportive and sturdy.
TKMaxx sometimes have them for good prices (but I only look at sizes 2 & 3).
SportsDirect have some good prices on Skechers but I would only ever buy from them if I was 100% sure they'd fit.2 -
OH and I have to go to the foot clinic due to diabetes and they are always happy when they see we are wearing Skechers. We both only wear Skechers now and OH wears a pair of lightweight Skechers as slippers and they solved all problems he was having with pain in his feet (dropped arches). We only buy them when discounted!3

Thanks, everyone, lots of things to think about.
I actually haven't any problems with my feet, it is all in my hips, back and knees. The reason I thought about supportive slippers is because of my posture, if my back or hips hurt, I do not walk properly and I shuffle which I don't do in shoes so much.
I put on my partner's knee supports today and that helped with my knees.
Trying everything at the moment, so will definitely look at SketchersTreat other's how you like to be treated.

Go for the real thing, not cheap imitations - I got dreadful backache from cheapo ones but am OK with the real deal.oldernonethewiser said:Would Crocs be of any use?Signature removed for peace of mind1 -
Another vote for Skechers. I get the slip on type to wear indoors to do my housework etc. They are also easy to slip on and off when I’m popping out to the bin or the washing line. I keep a pair specifically for indoor use as I have pale carpets.2

Do you have shoes which you find are helpful / comfortable which you wear outside the house? If so, then you could consider buying a second pair to use as house shoes / slippers . But trying to see your dotor or a podiatrist for proper advice is probably the best bet as they will be ble to make informed suggestions, including things such as any exercises or other types of support which might help. I was going to suggest trying support for your knees but it looks as though you are doing that (again, I'd checkwith you doctor in case there is anything they recommendyou do, or avoid!harrys_nan said:Thanks, everyone, lots of things to think about.

I always wear crocs as slippers, very comfortableoldernonethewiser said:Would Crocs be of any use?0 -
I also advocate for skechers and crocs. Both are incredibly comfortable to wear.
Although you say you don't have problems with your feet. They do connect to the knee and hip issues. I have RA and saw podiatry as I was having knee and hip problems.
I was given orthotics (insoles) that help to keep everything aligned and they have helped so much.
Although if it's osteoarthritis, I don't think there would be much to help that other than joint replacement.0 -
Ugg also make strong slippers which are supportive.
I've been wearing the same pair for years. They are expensive, but wash in the machine, and can sometimes be found in sales.0
