Sun_Addict said:Hope the HRT works for you 🤞 I’ve never had it but a friend swears by it. I’m terrible at making decisions now, always convinced I’ll make the wrong one 😞
I have got off lightly with perimenopause compared to some women I know, with physical symptoms, but the endless anxiety, daily dread and other head stuff is horrific right now. Add in a definite increase in joint issues and I decided there was nothing to lose. Also my mum dropped the clanger that both her and her mother were way over 60 before fully entering menopause 😬😭 I thought I would probably have maybe another 5yrs or so, but another decade+, nope 😂

My mom had her menopause at 42, I wasn’t much older. Both of us mainly symptom free apart from me with the indecisions that is 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I don't know why I didn't realise that she was over 60 tbh, looking back it was obvious she wasn't done with it all and it's not like I didn't know her age. I think it was just me, in my 30's, young kids being oblivious. But I nearly cried when she said how old she was! And I know it might not follow on, but with her mum being way older than average too.....my aunt (so mums sister) had a hysterectomy in her 30's so can't gauge it from her either.
On a slight plus note, while the boys actual eczema has flared, the all over incredibly itchy body rash has subsided and appears to be gone (for now). So tomorrow he will ask for more cream and body wash to keep in case it flares again, and then discuss the eczema. He has it badly on his elbows. But the actual elbows not the creases (he has it there as well, but nowhere near as bad) and eczema seems rare on that part of the body.
In other health news I have found something odd and think I need to get it checked out. Just need to decide wether or not I wait for the appointment on August or not. Going to keep an eye on it I think.
Blimey this has taken a bit of a health detour!
Finances are crap. There we go 😂😝Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
The boy saw the doctor and a plan has been put in place for going forward. He needs to go back in 6 weeks for a review of the treatment, if it works it will be documented (as the new cream is expensive apparently) and if it doesn't there will be a dermatology referral on the horizon. He also got some more stuff for the body rash in case it comes back, and some advice on keeping it at bay. Baby steps.
I am coasting to the end of term with the smallest, he is definitely struggling right now. He has had a glowing report though, and I am so happy how well he has done in this sen school. Can't wait for next Tuesday evening and both him and the weird one can relax. Going to sit down with them this weekend and try and get some bits organised for the holiday.
Busy weekend coming up, finalising things for going away with the Guides (so much admin!!!) and getting everything up to date now I have finished Brownies for the year. Might even look at beginning planning for September rather than leaving it all to the last minute........😬😂
Trying to scrape together some funds for the summer holidays. I have money set aside for our holiday in Norfolk, but there's not a lot else spare right now. Also need to get the girls new house insurance sorted, and money to get to London to move her and do her a big food shop. At least there won't be any room stuff to buy this year! Just the driving to London and cleaning. I have told her it cannot be as bad as last year as I won't have time to help her pack everything, she needs to be way more organised.
Anyway best go and get the smallest up for school. He is not a morning person.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
The boy had his birthday. His girlfriend came and stayed, she is lovely. He is now moping around miserable as she has gone back home (she lives quite a distance away). She is visiting again when we are on holiday and he is home alone looking after the cats.
He has been having some stomach issues to go with the skin problems 🤦 honestly this boy! I think it's tied in with his Rhinitis or he might have Gerd. He needs to make a follow up appointment with the GP he has been seeing so I told him to write down when he gets it, what he has eaten etc and see if there is a pattern and then mention it to the GP at the appointment.
The smaller two have broken up for the holidays. Going to be a relaxing time until our holiday I think. Nothing much planned until then. I am working every day, my time off it taken up with Guide camp and our holiday. But it will be nice to have some time off, had nothing since a couple of days at Easter and that was it since the disaster of Xmas!!! Fingers crossed there is no tooth drama this time.
Finances are steady but still not great. Will have to be careful when we are away to spend mindfully.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
Well my two weeks off are over, back to work on Monday 😭 feel like I would like some more time off just chilling at home to recover from a full on two weeks!
Guide camp was the hardest one I have ever been to. The pandemic has really affected kids resilience. It was so noticeable, they need direction all the time, have no concept of time management (probably because none have watches any more and phones were not allowed 😏) we have learnt a lot as a leadership team though, and have a plan to put in place for next year's camp. Thinking of hiring minibuses and going further afield, which would squash the endless wanting to go home crys. (Only one genuine home sick child, and one who in hindsight should have only come for two nights max due to her additional needs) But we are feeling more positive for an easier time next year!
Our holiday was lovely. Managed to just keep within budget, we stayed on the Norfolk Coast in a seaside town so a lot of stuff was walkable. The girl came to visit one day, was lovely to see her, I am off to move her I to her third year house on Wednesday (third year 😱 seems like yesterday she was having all the dilemmas over unis and courses!) weather was crazy warm (missed our air con unit!) luckily being on the seafront meant it wasn't as hot as back home
Anyway, home now, the weird one has struggled massively with it all, part of it is being 15, but the autistic part is playing it's part a lot ATM. He did particularly enjoy the trip to the transport museum, and the rides on the tram and trolley bus though.
So washing on, cleaned the kitchen, (the boy has been home with his girlfriend with the cats, let's just say they haven't the same standards as me!) and been outside with the cats. Lawn will be mowed tomorrow, think it's in a state that annoys next door 😬😝Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
