Oops didn’t mean to press send 😚
Ive got a hospital appointment at 3 o clock and it’s the private hospital near the tram station (as an NHS patient) I’m usually seen fairly quickly, so I’m jumping on the tram to big shopping mall to get a couple of extra bits for ds, dd and sil. I might nip over to c@stc@ for some merino wool socks for 1 present. Dh is meeting me later and we’re taking a present over to his sister.I’m not planning doing much tomorrow as I’m totally shattered and need a chill day. Dh finishes for Christmas tomorrow so we will pack the van and get Millie sorted for her trip down South to spend Christmas with dd and family.
My littlest gdd was 7 on Saturday and on Friday started with a temperature so spent her birthday cuddling her birthday squishy toy on the sofa. She missed her party on Sunday too so not a happy bunny 😥 Hopefully it’ll not pass around the family or we might be spending it at home.January spends - £587.581 -

Littlest gdd seems to be on the mend now and has shared with her big sister who has felt grotty all day. Hopefully it’ll be gone by weekend when we’re suppose to be going.
I’ve given up trying to sleep. Everywhere is sore and aching so I’ve come down for paracetamol and tea. The hospital appointment went as I expected with doc suggesting going on the waiting list for hip surgery and me stalling him again. He’s agreed to another injection alongside X-rays and a scan at some stage. My appointment was 2.40. I arrived at 2.35 had a quick freebie coffee in the waiting room and was leaving the building at 2.55. Can’t knock that service.I know I’ve done too much standing and walking these past few days so need a rest day tomorrow. Dh has been asked to work on Thursday and he’s said yes so I’ve got another day to myself. It’s a pity as I’d half planned a nice day for us.
I got the tram to the big shopping mall after e appointment. I nipped into Costco and got a couple of presents, into Asd@ for a jar of mincemeat as I’ll need to make another batch of pies to take with us. I made 48 on Monday. Dh took some to work today and there won’t be enough left to take at weekend .Anyway it’s a big shop so rather than wandering round I decided to ask a staff member. ‘Mincemeat’ said she….’yes. For mince pies’ says I. ‘’In a tin’ says she…’no. A jar….to make mince pies’ says I. She looked at me as if I was crackers. She found another staff member….’she says she wants mincemeat IN A JAR….think she means TIN’ I couldn’t believe my ears. Anyway the other staff lady showed me where it was and the first girl wandered off chunnering…..’never heard of it’ I know mince pies aren’t as popular as they were but I’d have expected staff to at least know what it was. 🤷🏻♀️😂😂😂 I think I have all my presents now and if I haven’t it’s TOUGH 😂😂January spends - £587.582 -

Just lovely x1

Think I’ll add something to the outline of the tree as looking at the photo it doesn’t stand out very well.Today’s plan is to chill, wrap the last of the presents I bought yesterday and pay my cc off in full. I might nip to the shops to pick up a piece of lamb whilst it’s on offer as I think it’ll fit in my freezer now I’ve used some things up. Always handy to have in 👍
Tomorrow will be a general tidy everywhere then change the bedding and pack the van on Friday ready for an early start on Saturday.January spends - £587.582 -
I have wrapped the presents and realised I wanted some thermal socks for someone. So I walked around to the going outdoor shop around the corner. They had a sale on. I’ve been after a coat for a couple of years and not found the right one. I bought one this time last year and sent it back as it was like a straight jacket and the sleeves would have fitted a chimpanzee. I tried on a very similar one…..well the same colour. I did try a bigger size…..it fit 😁😁😁 and the sleeves were the right length. The pockets are slightly lower than I like. But with a reduction to £49 I can live with that. It’s navy with a fury collar on the hood. The sleeves usually drown me if I go for the bigger sizes but these are perfect. I also bought a thermal hat from the junior department with a bit of colour and pom-poms to offset the dark colour. The particular socks I know this person likes were buy one get one half price. So I’d call that a successful shopping trip. My receipt claims I’ve saved £120 all in all 😂😂😂😂 not sure about that but I feel I got a lot for my £70 which included paying a £5 membership as mine had expired. It’s not a fancy, going out coat but a waterproof everyday warm one 👍 Next mission is to keep my eye on the Seasalt sale to see if the going out one I liked come in the sale. I also nipped in Mr Ms on the way home but they only had a couple of pieces of lamb left and they were tiny so I might nip out tomorrow
I've spoken to Dd this afternoon and everyone is feeling slightly better. So it’s looking hopeful for. Christmas. She says she’s not cancelling Christmas again.
Right I’m off to pay my cc in full. I want to do some Christmas number crunching too. I feel as if I’ve spent a lot but not needed much food recently as I’d stocked up. I still have my Asd@ savings card which I haven’t touched yet. I’ve been popping money on since September and got £15 reward so that’s £300 to spend. It’ll be handy after Christmas as there’s no way I’ll spend that this week. I will try and get some lamb tomorrow for the freezer.January spends - £587.581 -
The wreath is lovely 🥰 Well done! Good news you’ve found a suitable coat. And even better news Christmas at DD’s is on 🥳 Hope you have a wonderful time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
