2nd cost of living

Hi my mum is a newbie to Pension Credit and has been claiming it since August. I know the qualifying week for the 2nd cost of living payment was in September. She hasn’t recieved it and when she called them yesterday they said if you didn’t qualify for the first payment you are not entitled to the 2nd. Anyone know if that’s right please? Thanks

ThanksThat's not correct, the first payment has nothing to do with the 2nd payment criteria. You will be eligible for the second Cost of Living Payment of £324 if you were entitled to a payment (or later found to be entitled to a payment) of income-based JSA, income-related ESA, Income Support or Pension Credit for any day in the period 26 August 2022 to 25 September 2022.You can report a missing payment here. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment#report-a-missing-cost-of-living-payment Pointless ringing Pension Credit because they were not responsible for making the payment.

They are call centre staff so i wouldn't expect them to know or even understand the criteria.

It's not the not knowing, it's the not knowing but making up an (incorrect) answer.poppy12345 said:They are call centre staff so i wouldn't expect them to know or even understand the criteria.

My mother in law qualified for 2nd payment but still waiting. The link posted above doesn't accept reports any longer and the automated phone no. cuts you off after going through the process

Unless you claimed before 25th September you won't qualify for those already paid.rol0 said:We were recently awarded pension credit and was told the computer works out all new claims at the end of the month and would pay out early January. Still waiting!!
Looks like you can still report missing payments here Report a missing Cost of Living Payment - GOV.UK (dwp.gov.uk)"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
