Seems you all have it under control.
Yes losing weight we all know what to do/to eat - hard bit is sticking to it!! i am still enjoying my slow carb plan, its keeping my cravings down though I know its my cheat day tomorrow and I am ready to eat some high carb stuff -However it does limit my crisp/sweets to once a week so ..
The reason I went on the slow carb was my dresses were getting tighter around the middle and I am NOT replacing my wardrobe
Weirdly I have a friend looking to move to Denmark with their Danish partner - I did say there is some complications re the Danish dealing with a UK pension - (gleaned from you) I assume they dont accept the first 25% of it being tax free? Any big takeaways from the talk I would be interested ..DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks for popping in SavingHolmes and LWAP.
I will get a recording of the EU webinar and the Pension one but the pension on will be in Danish happy to help if I can. I just realised this morning that I cannot attend the EU one but DG can and I have asked them our question so see what they come back with. I kind of forgot I had taken Weds off to play in the league game.
Anyway we had a really good weekend. We got the Summer stuff down on Friday and the Halloween stuff up and it looks fun. We also got all the garden furniture packed down and I did a bit of gardening on Saturday. It looks sad so I would like to stop the viewings but they are slowing down we had one Friday who thought the garden was too small. I bet he had lots of little kids so it wasn't suitable anyway lol.
We are now both much more diet focussed DG is on the skinny jab and I am trying Orlistat and so far so good. We did go out Saturday night but shared a meal (it was huge to be fair) but only had breakfast otherwise. We did drink but it was vodka and coke and also felt fine the next day. Yesterday we stuck within our cals as we only had breakfast and I made a chicken roast dinner with butternut instead of Yorkshires, no gravy but carrots and a few potatoes cooked in the airfryer with a lightfry spray. It was really good and we are having the leftovers again today. No snacking but there was a chocolate brownie from Lidl. I feel much more motivated doing this now looking at my BMI I have 5 kilos to lose before I am normal weight but I want to lose a bit more than that. DG is fully on board which makes it easier for me too. She is feeling a bit sick this morning but I think that is the Shingles and she took painkillers without eating anything.
Sunday we just chilled after staying over at my friend's house so that was nice. We have started watching a new Danish series as we have finished Borgen. It is called The Seaside Hotel we have to pay £4 a month to watch it but I am enjoying hearing my language again and it is also helping DG.
Moneywise we both added money to the joint account for the night out so things are looking ok. Also no McD breakfast so that will save money too. Yes we did eat out Friday and Saturday but paid for by ourselves.
Should be no more drinking coming up now until our holiday in November hopefully have lost a abit by then and fit in to the clothes I could wear last year.
Not loving the new Lidl freebies but we did have the free brownie and some free blueberries.

Just looked at the invite for the immigration webinar and for some reason it had put itself on the wrong date so I can actually attend. How annoying.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Morning had a lot of rain overnight but now it is bright and sunny. My normal Tues 9.30 meeting has been cancelled but I do not think I will attend the other one I do not need to. So that is a whole day without meetings and I have tomorrow off.
Was very good with my food I stayed within my calorie limits as per MyFitnessPal and I was not hungry. We did get a TGTG back but wish we had not we said this last time but did it anyway as the M&S ones used to be so good but this was all BP breakfast baps which are not great and we do not need. I do blame DG.
This month is going to be extremely tight as I have to pay for the joint house insurance and my car insurance is also due which really need to be on the joint account as well. I can put them on the credit card and clear next month no problem as my regular savings mature in Dec. I have £50 in my but I have found £12 lying around the house in cash that I can use to pay for my dinner after the game tomorrow so that is handy. I only have to last until the 23rd when I get paid so that is 2 weeks. I will need another £12 on Sunday as we have another game. Other than that next two weekends are quiet (well 1 cocktail session but that is at home and paid for).
Found out yesterday that our neighbour to the otherside has gone into a nursing home so that is another house up for sale in the close. There are 12 houses and the following are now for sale, no 2, (3 is thinking about it) 6, 7 & 8. Luckily there is not signs up or it would look really bad. No more viewings this week and I would quite like to keep that way as I am a bit bored with getting the house ready but needs must. The new one that is up for sale will go quickly I recon. I need a big overhaul but it has two back to back garages so potential for a huge double extension which would face out towards the field so be quite attractive. It is also £10K less than any other house in the close plus has a 4th bedroom. I always hoped ours would sell before that one as a double extension would not be that nice for us as we would lose the view out of the side window in the bedroom and from the front you would not see the seaview to the very side. Well lets see what happens I recon someone who wants a big rental or all those who wanted to extent when they looked at ours if they can live with a semi than this one is perfect.
Anyway best get on with some work.Save £12k in 25 No 49

My LTS trousers fits although losing weight they will be even better so that a relief as I need them for tomorrows match.
Asda has been delivered and subtitudes sent back. We skipped last Tuesday so there was quite a bit of stocking up.
Estate agent with the original private beach house has emailed with a house that is not on the market yet but does has a private access beach. Well it is actually almost on the beach and shares a private mooring with another house. We do not know the actual layout yet but it has a full cellar (perfect for storage and potential for pool bar) it has a kitchen dinner and two lounges on the entrance level and 3 bedrooms and a terrazzo floor upstairs. Seaviews and raised patio out the front. It is from 1948 but refurbed in 1997 all that for £270K. Downsides are no ensuite and it is quite close to a main road which could be noisy. It is also potentially overlooked as there are some newer houses right beside it. Also small plot so only garden out the back and side which is also the drive. I have said we would send my sister to view it as it does look interesting. At least it has a utility room and we might be able to make an ensuite. I
I have sorted the prep out for tomorrows sewing class and I am dressed for gym so 100% going tonight to Shape and Aqua. Have a lovely evening folks.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks Savingsholmes still not spoken to him but hopefully today he will call.
Golf was good yesterday I lost my match but we won overall so that was good. I was so good on my diet yesterday we had soup after the game and I had a slimfast in the evening and 2 boiled eggs with toast plus a banana so that was not a lot but I felt full. I did go on the scales and I have lost 1.5 kilo just under two week. Shows I can do it.
Sewing class was really good I did learn quite a bit but my machine played up until I got the right needle in so that was good.
My sister has replied about the house viewing (she only replied to my mum not me - why are my family so un tech savvy lol). She thinks we should wait and not rush out to see it until ours is sold or if it is still there at Christmas see it. I am going to see what the EA says today and make up my mind. DG thinks it is too close to the road for the cats which I also do but my mum is super keen to go and see it. Just checked my phone the EA is calling at 10.30 so I will soon know.
We have the EU webinar today to find out about emigrating to Denmark so that will be good to know where we are at and what we need to do. Feels like things are moving in the right direction slowly I will report back if there is any interesting news from the EA.Save £12k in 25 No 49

I know your state pensions are alright to increase when in Denmark but it may be as well to check you have as many contributions in before you go (& before April 25) as you can/need. I'm sure any shortfall would be easier to deal with whilst in the UK. I'm sure you have already thought of this but I would be annoyed with myself if you were living in Denmark & saying how difficult you were finding this to deal with & I hadn't said anything.

Thanks badmemory much appreciated and yes we are both ok we have got the full max each of us
.
Spoke to EA we have been getting more hits than others so that is good. What is less good is that the people who has made an offer their house is up for £290K it is fully done up but one that needed full refurb has just sold for £210K. The max anything in that road has sold for is £236K so they are still very overpriced and he said for us not to rely on that sale. I can see why they would like ours they have a very nice landscapred garden with a mancave and 1 older child by the looks of it.
You have to be off the market for 14 weeks to become a new listing on Rightmove and we can always reduce the price so get a fresh set of viewings. I think I would like to go for March that gives us 6 months to sell. He is going to send some dates over and then we can decide. Maybe my sister is right it is too soon to look. By listing when we did we learnt a lot and it has been worthwhile. You never know they might reduce their house more and still buy ours but we know it is going to take a good while at that high price.
