Thanks Madvix and beanielou he is back on there today so he is happy and a lot less clingy. He did not like when I got up at 6am as I thought our friends landed at 9.15 turns out that is when they leave Gatwick so I am picking them up at 11.40 which is a big difference and I miss rush hour.

We actually got a client yesterday through the new company which was quite interesting but it is a complex case and it could take a long long time and the lady cannot pay until she sells her properties. She heard about us from her divorce solicitor so maybe the linked in is working.

Today is a glorious sunny day and I quite look forward to doing a long drive in the new car it will be my first one as we have not really gone anywhere. It is charged to 99% and I will set the pre heat first but it does has heated seats and heated steering wheel which is actually quite standard over here.

We went to the local supermarket last night and they had the Danish lunch food we wanted in the deli on yellow sticker. We got two boxes so that is a lot of food sorted for the new couple of days all authentic Danish. We also got a lovely chocolate orange cake on yellow sticker 1/2 price it was.

DG got a call from the Council yesterday they cannot process her driving license until she has a medical certificate from her GP to say she is fit to drive. I kind of knew we needed this but totally forgot so that needs to be ordered and possibly paid for but she needs it. She is too busy to get it done but needs must.

I did manage to get her booked in for the physio her GP had referred her to. The referral expired on the day I called so it was quite lucky. I know she has lots of work but if her knee goes again they will not be impressed she has not gone to the physio when she was referred. There was zero wait to book either and its free so glad I got her in.

She also needs a mammogram so I again another trip to the larger town near us which is fine we don't mind.

I am so looking forward to seeing our friends and I do not think we will have any issues like the last lot being so fussy well one of them. These two and mid 70's both held high powered jobs in their day perfectly able to cook and good fun all around really.

Thanks Mrs_Money_Penny he is still enjoying it so wasnt just a fad. We have had a really nice time with our friends they have been such a pleasure to host and no hassle what so ever just mucks in and easy to feed. They are even cooking us dinner tonight.

Been a busy week so this is first time I have managed to sit at my computer and get some work done but that happens when you are enjoying yourself.

Spendwise there has been quite a bit entrance to HC Andersens museeum but that has been a must see for DG for over 10 years and it finally happened. It is very good though and now we have 50% off for 4 people to two other museeums which might be hand for our next lot of friends.

Also been charity shopping found the glass for a candleholder I had smashed so now I have 3 instead of 1 and it only costs £3 to get the parts second hand. I did order some more glass dishes and our friends wants them too. They actually love a lot of our kitchen ware so I will be getting this and taking over when we take the car.

We have had more people sign up for our Halloween Party so I must text the others and see what they wish to bring. Anyway best crack on but just to say I am still here lol.

Guest went home yesterday and I must say they were a delight. They are recent friends in the last 3 years but we have been on holiday together once all of us and the other one twice and had fun. We just gel really well even though they are 20 years older you do not feel it at all. They paid for some meals out and brought us stuff but we did pay for some tickets and odds so worked out even if not they paid a bit more. We now 100% have a place to stay locally where we want to be when we come to the UK so that is fab too. Really convenient for DGs work too. We must ask my niece if she can cat sit so we can go in late January ideally.

I have done the work for DG but still need to send one email before I meet with my sister and dad to take him to the GP. It is just a visit as this will be his new doctor after he moved.

The enquiry we got on the new business will give us a small amount of work but we are not actually keen to take on the larger work as it will be very drawn out and contentious plus the client cannot pay until she sells which is hugely complicated. Sometimes you just have to say no in a polite way to avoid drama. She is moving her big cases along and I cannot remember if I said she settled one.

We had the holes for the pergola cut yesterday but one fills up with water so not sure what next step is. We still have plenty of time so no stress yet.

DG got into a state yesterday with the car. She pulled in at McD at a busy huge services and all the chargers were busy. She waited but nothing. I told her to go to one that we have a card for but she was hungry and wanted to eat there. So she drove off until the car was on yellow and the car is set to Danish so that stress her out (I wanted it in Danish for her to learn). Anyway she found a Shell one and could not get it to accept payment. It was late, dark and raining but some guy helped her and he took 4 goes before it worked. We also now have a PowerPass payment card but that was in the mail box so she did not pick it up anyway should avoid further stress like this.

We still love the car and I find it easy to charge but electric is just so expensive it is annoying. The car can do over 2 1/2 hour without a charge so you would stop anyway we just need to get better and planning but it still quite new. Certainly more comfortable for ferrying guests around and cheaper to do the 3 hour round trip to the airport.

    Right best get on

Nice day yesterday went to the meeting with my dad and the GP which all went fine although my sister thinks we should resuscitate if it ever happens . I could hear the GP say differently my dad is 90 but I do not think my sister was quite ready for that question. BIL did agree with me. I should have brought his birthday present over but just did not think he would be there although he works 2 min from my dad. He was putting up a lamp for my dad he is so handy.

My sister had found a huge box I had put in my dads cellar when my mum moved 7 years ago. It was stuff I used to keep in my childhood home for when we would come on holiday and avoid bringing stuff over all the time. A lot of out of date but there was some stuff from my Grandmother and some from my Uncle I knew I had but did not know where. 4 blue egg cups that are actually worth a lot of money so that was quite nice. My sister has the rest of the tea set I hope she has kept it it is 1960's but dark blue and white.

My grandmother had a house in Sweden so it is not that random lol. There was also a lot of shoes incl a massive pair of Winter boots so I can now definitely cope with the walk to the shop if we get snowed in again.

We have the cinema tonight Spa Weekend looks like a total chick flick so we be women only tonight. I do need to tell them which shifts we want to do for the next 3 months.

I have done the work for DG but it needs checking over and also I want to get back into my old old to do list as I am sure there is stuff I still need to do. This weekend will be chill only but next weekend is the Halloween Party so some prepping will need to be done for that.

    Have a lovely Thursday.
