Cat very cute - and - nice work on everything else (just caught up)

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

At least the office floor allows you to get on with work… Ginger is currently ‘helping’ - mostly by sitting on my mouse or nuzzling the monitor (requiring me to hold it steady!)! He/she is very pretty though - a fluffball like mine!

Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks Watty I do try but I feel like the list gets longer and longer!

themadix that one (a boy) is really chilled and always sleeping on a chair, the floor or a guest bed your ginger sounds just like my ginger one. He is the one constantly on you, on your desk bed sofa you name it. He also complains when I move him off.

Door handle is on and it only cost £12 in local DIY shop so the £50 ones must have been outdoors which we do not need. I bought a spare on though. Messaged nephew he is seeing if they are home when we are looking to come over. I think we will spend a bit more on getting flexible train tickets instead so if nephew blows us off (he does work abroad quite a bit) then so be it.

I have done a solid marketing plan and got a few more articles written. The enquiry we had come through yesterday has not led to anything I did reply in 2 hours but maybe it was not quick enough. Still hope.

Sorted all the AI subscriptions and set up and paid for the Skoda maintenance and MOT plan so that is all up and running. Tomorrow is the day I need to move all the DDs.

I really should go to the gym but I cannot be asked. I know it is bad but I will go tomorrow instead. List updated looks like this now.

Fill in Tax form for DG on her pension

Book train to visit CPH with DG in November AWAITING NEWPHEW

    Book hotel for CPH

Ask pergola fitter where to put the slabs down

    Await reply from carpenter

    Pay my golf membership.

For the 3rd month sort the DDs out I actually have to cancel the old ones and set up new ones for it to work but AI did not tell me this. I am instead going to ask to move all of them it is driving me crazy otherwise. DONE but do main bulk 8-10

Carpenter update is he is not sure if we want him to fit the whole thing so I need to now call him to move forward and I absolutely hate that honestly.

This morning I have got loads of marketing done and I am getting to grips with the new Gemini Enterprise. It is really good it has this notebook feature where you can store things and it relies on this when you ask it things which has been an issue especially for my marketing as it has forgotten what I have already posted.

Sorted out trains just waiting to see if we need to add breakfast on hotel booking but then I will book it. I did find it a bit cheaper on Hotels.com and we get points rather than booking direct with hotel.

Charged the car overnight it was cheaper electric so we went for it as we have an hours round trip tomorrow to go yet again to the Gyno for DG. They lost her first smear test now this is not something that is normal for Denmark but heyho. It will be nice to have a day off with DG she has been doing really long hours but one case how now settled so that is two she is awaiting payment for. They always argue about cost but the first one has been ongoing since April and they have now offered 1/2 which she is not accepting obviously.

Also got all the Halloween boxes down from the loft and there is so much. We need to help with the willow for the Christmas angle making this Saturday so it can soak in our lake before the 31st. We now have 10 coming not many but quite nice.

Not hear back from the email enquiry we had which is sad but I think they sent it to load but I will be quicker next time.

I think that is it for now.

UPDATE I did call him and he can do it for about £125 add 25% VAT and some cement so that is worth paying for not having to do it myself for sure.

Fill in Tax form for DG on her pension

Book train to visit CPH with DG in November DONE booked so it can be cancelled for full refund 30 min before just in case we want to get a later train but it could be double cost so lets see.

    Book hotel for CPH

Ask pergola fitter where to put the slabs down DONE

    Await reply from carpenter DONE

    Pay my golf membership. DONE

For the 3rd month sort the DDs out I actually have to cancel the old ones and set up new ones for it to work but AI did not tell me this. I am instead going to ask to move all of them it is driving me crazy otherwise. DONE but do main bulk 8-10 DONE just need to move my personal mobile one back and possibly the tax.

Morning expensive morning as my Garmin watch did not want to charge it has been playing up lately so I looked at a new one. The one we have they stopped doing in 2025 so of course they are now more money but we have just bought 6 new straps each and I really like the size compared to the new version which looks tiny. So in order to get one (mine has lasted I think 6 years) £100 spent but was needed.

I also booked the hotel on Dgs Amex card so that is 1 night earnt on Hotel.com it was the cheapest and I am sure we will book more hotels in the UK going forward.

DG actually settled a case yesterday one of the big ones that was going to trial and the end of this month so that has really helped her mood. It was a bit of a risky case so not the best result for the client but she is now going to be safe in her home and Dg gets paid worst case they could both lose out. That means she will be waiting for 2 big payouts (the one from April) and this one so next year things will look better for her. She still have her massive case which is moving forward and I think maybe 2 or 3 more.

That means she wants to keep her part time job and then it is not so pressured that we do not have much money coming in from the business yet.

The to do list is looking much better now:

Fill in Tax form for DG on her pension

    Book hotel for CPH DONE

Await reply from Pergola fitter so I can book carpenter in.

Check new car plan is on correct account I think I might have accidently set it up for mine which is not what I needed.

My two robots are busy cleaning the floor and cutting the grass on the new patch and we need to leave soon to go to DGs Gyno appointment and have mooch around this other town that is like ours but more XL but just as pretty and historic. We will drive right past our castle but their Halloween stuff starts tomorrow so will go then and use our passes. We have made so much use of them. Less use of the gym pass sadly but next week before our friends come we will go.

Posted on DGs linked in and all marketing is ready for Monday. We keep getting crap replies to our old blogs so need to remove them and then its time to go.

Morning no gym this morning but we have to take the car in to swap for winter tyres a Danish thing that is a legal requirement so needs must. The car does drive much better with winter tyres but you do pay to change them twice a year and for storage. Yes we could possibly have stored them but they weigh 30 kilo each so do not fancy logging them around all the time.

Driven quite a bit this weekend but still love the car. We did get loads of bits done around the house Saturday found two bins with lids you can attach to the inside of the kitchen door for the food waste and the cat sachets in the utility room. It is so much easier and neater in the kitchen also means more space in that cupboard. The utility room actually smells less of rotten cat food so we may be able to cut down on air fresheners lol. I bought 3 ghost that are battery and for outdoors. However they are made of white fabric so did not think they would work staked in the ground so made a swing for them to sit on under the car port. They are so cute and they cost £5 and I spent £4 on the rope but there is loads left. We did decorate the pool bar for Halloween it looks great and you can still use the room. We do need more outside Halloween stuff we have some pumpkins with candles and now the ghost that is it. Anyway forgot to say we did cinema Friday and no issues. We had 4 people so a nice easy volunteer shift and it was a good film Practical Magic 2 I highly recommend you watch the first one though it follows on.

Our lovely English friends are coming Weds so we have meal planned and done a few suggestions for activities they might like.

Sunday we went to the castle to see the halloween stuff it was so good. Lots of areas changed for Halloween and some pretty pumpkin and flowers too. I thought it was quite stylish but it is a very stylish place.

Practised golf and saw my dad. My sister rang wants to know about Christmas she has to give her wishes. We have a welcome meeting booked with them now but I cannot attend as it is the day our friends go back.

Our lovely English friend has just booked 3 nights in April to come and see us and I did book the hotel for the Nov stay in CPH so lots of socialising to look forward to.

I must get the marketing done for today but it is all prepped plus the to do list is not looking too bad. I need to clean the house before guests but that can be done tomorrow. Need to go now to get to the car dealer.
