Just caught up on your diary. Wish you well. You've had a lot of ups and downs recently with DG and wider family. I hope things settle for you soon.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Afternoon hope you've had a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend. Thanks for popping in VandaFC and savingholmes.Saturday we got loads painted in the garden and pressure washed the patios. Looks so much better but missed a bit which will still have to be done. Bought some cleaning fluid as the pressure washer didn't quite get all of it. Weather a bit changeable but pool is open so bring on Summer.Sunday we were practising golf and playing in a comp but we pulled out couldn't be asked. Lazed about and went for an ice cream by the sea side. Got a call to say DGs aunt has had a seizure and is in hospital. She then had a second one and it's not not looking good. This is the side where Dg does not like her cousin so we do not have much of an update but she has unblocked her at least. She's not taking it that well a lot on top of each other.Gym this morning so hard two classes back to back but then some gardening and finally this evening went to the range. Golf is really bad for both of us which is annoying but it's a phase and I've just paid £3000 to rejoin so need to persevere.Joint finances nothing left in the pot but being refilled tomorrow so ok. Just can't remember when the car insurance comes out. Not spent loads mainly just food out and some good to go bags. No personal spends either which is good. Going to try for £200 personal spend this month.Pension deducted at 10% salary sacrifice I was paying 6% so with the payrise should stay the same. Financial review on Friday time to talk fees.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Morning good start to May 3 wins on the Premium Bonds this month £25, £50 and £100 I love the new increased rates - Happy Days!!
Today is really busy at work 5 meetings and some are even overlapping. DG got her second counselling appointment and we have gym tonight so dinner at lunchtime effectively.
Practised a bit of golf at the back of the house it was actaully really nice and although it is hard to find the balls in the long grass which is also getting longer it is doable. I would love to get a net to hit into but we could just drive 10min and use the one at the club. Depending on how easy it is to put up and take down the net it might be a very wasted investment.
I am loving the warmer weather in the evening for time in the garden. The grass got cut yesterday and it looks really nice now the nicest it has looked in 3 years even if very uneven and lots of weeds still. Got my lettuce and rasdishes sowed at the weekend but still need to do the peas and find homes for more flowers in the beds. Orders some slug pubs (plasic bags to pour beer in and the drown the slugs. They have already nibbled my new perenial plants so need to get that going asap. Hopefully arrive today by good old Amazon.
I also need to order a birthday card for DG I might do Moonpig but only got 1 week so lets see if it gets here on time. I am only getting her a few small presents as I have paid her golf membership and her gym.
Best get back to work hope you have a lovely hump day.

Had a lovely long weekend really enjoyed it. Saturday we just chilled out but I did get some gardening done. Aldo watched the Coronation Sunday was lesson back at our old pro and range work afterwards. It was such a lovely sunny day we sat outside and with food and drink brought with us it wasn't that expensive plus our golf has improved. Watched the Coronation concert in the evening.Yesterday was chilled a bit more house work but more chilling and prep for guests next weekend. Got dinner for 8 most I've ever had here. Hoping for good weather lol. It's DGs birthday today was due to go in a hot air ballon ride but cancelled due to wind. Shame. It we can rebook and still nice to get out and play golf today. Much better after lesson.Dg a bit jittery about work another person is leaving so that might be the end of that job anyway. Told her not to stress about it right now. She's 58 today by the way.Garden coming a long lovely. Veg coming up and cucumbers doing really well but no courgettes will have to re sow them. Lots of lovely flowers and pots nice too. First year the peonies will be out nicely.Just bought 2 30cm galvanised pots for £24 that is really cheap and will look good in the back garden.Work will be manic next week but only 3 days.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks Daisy, she did have a good day even if it was spoilt by some work concerns later in the day but we ended up spending £5 on watching the last Downtown Abbey movie always makes you feel good. I never saw the complete TV series so might start watching it from the beginning. Real binge that would be to catch up.
Finding it hard to get into work this morning not too manic but so much to do. Only 3 days to the weekend but will be a busy one with people staying and hosting for DGs party. Should be fun though.
Visiting Dgs aunt later and then gym. Also need to get rid of the mountain of bottles that has built up but at least the garden is now as nice as can be just need to clean the pool although I doubt anyone will be going in it.
One load of washing already on the line I do love a bit of sunshine long may it last.
Starting a to do list might help make me feel more organised.
Things to prep for DG's party:
Buy final items from Lidl
Make chilli in slow cooker
Bake Kranse kage
Clean pool
Set up Garden furniture and cushions (get down from loft)
Take bottles to bottle bank
