This amusingly reminds me of an incident I had at M4 Heston services east bound many (20?) years ago. Early morning I stopped for breakfast on my way to Battersea. Later that evening I return to stay in the rather grotty travel lodge. Took first bag in returned to car to find parking attendant printing a ticket. “What the hell are you doing?” and a rather firm exchange took place when he told me I had been parked there since 7.30am. I think I might have asked him if he would like to place his hand on the engine block to find out how cold it was. Frantic button pressing ensued and I heard no more.
BBC WatchDog “if you are struggling with an unfair parking charge do get in touch”
Please then tell us here that you have done so.1 -
Perfect, the moral of your story is NEVER use MOTO againCarlosh said:I've received a letter today from CP PLUS Ltd, quoting
" this Charge has been cancelled in full and no further action will be taken."
If I'm able to upload both the letter I sent and this current letter received to date I will.
On a side note although I didn't disclose this within my initial response to CP PLUS Ltd, my debit card payments and
receipts reflect my movements establishing me to be elsewhere during the presumed time period.1 -
At least it out of the way - however its a shame you didnt fnd this earlier. In my opinionall double dips should result in both the landowner and the car parking company being dropped in it .ANPR on its own is not fit for the purpose of issuing parking charge notices and any case where a double dip or other error occurs should be dealt woth by mans of compamints etc, an those responsible for it, and allow it to operate should be ade to face up to their responsibilites in allowing a flawed system to gather peoples data .From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"1 -
You must be the first appellant ever to wish the likes of money-grabbing CP Plus a happy new year!Carlosh said:So all is well...I hope this helps others in some shape or form - no retreat, no surrender - Good Luck !!!
