Happy Saturday 🥂
We went to the old village today where we stayed back in the 90s when the kids were young. It’s changed a fair bit.Weather is absolutely scorching today. Mr SA has gone back to the room to sit under the air con.I hate to see all the stray cats here but there are charities trying to help them. Plus they let their dogs roam freely although most have collars so must be owned. Here are a few photos so far.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

We have a storm brewing here with a severe weather warning. It’s been really hot today but you could feel the pressure building up. It was really weird as the birds started swooping over the pool then settling on the telephone lines. Mr SA the harbinger of doom announced that’s what the birds did in a film we recently watched about the Boxing Day tsunami. The hotel have put all the shutters down and everyone has come in from the pool. You can hear the thunder rumbling. I fetched a carafe of rose and some water from the bar and we’re sitting on the balcony. It’s just started lightening. We might have to eat at the hotel tonight although not the end of the world as the food here is just as good and cheaper than the restaurants.Last day tomorrow 🙁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

When there's been storms whilst I've been away I quite like sitting on the balcony watching it! At one place that I stayed in Greece some years you could see an old castle on top of a hill. It was was very Dracula-like watching the lightning fork over it from the balcony!😀
Still I hope it doesn't go on for too long and you can get back out for some sun.Love that Mr SA is keeping positive (not!) with his remarks on the tsunami! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

How can it be your last day? Seems like you've only just arrived. Hope the storm isn't/wasn't too bad, and it doesn't last too long and affect your flight home. At least you got your priorities right with your rose' on the balcony. ...lolMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Just seen a plane taking off in it and very glad I’m not on it 😱 Although the pilots soon fly above storms they know what they’re doing. The storm is meant to last 24 hours so hopefully will be gone by Wednesday lunchtime when we fly home. Ideally it will be gone by tomorrow so we can get a last day in the sun.I’ve had an email to say my next Try It box of samples is on the way. I thought I’d be waiting longer than that between boxes. In other money news have earned another £2 Amazon credit this month, still not sure how I’ve done this but I’m not complaining 😆 Also the hotel give you a loyalty card with one stamp for every €5 spent, then when it’s full you get €7 off your next food/drinks bill. We’re on card 3 already 🤣 It was nice to only pay €1.60 for the carafe of rose and water just now though. If there’s any spectacular weather I’ll take a photo, it seems to have calmed down at the moment and brightening up.Anyway we’ve had a lovely holiday, very relaxing and no mishaps from Mr SA. We’ve met some lovely people, everyone is so friendly from locals to fellow holiday makers although Mr SA is still miffed with the Scottish bloke who thought he was my dad 🤣 I can’t recommend the hotel highly enough it’s a brilliant place to stay and you can see why people come back year after year (our third visit since 2020). I was talking to a Jet2 rep earlier and she said of all the hotels in the resort she visits this is the one she’d stay at. You see quite a few women here on their own and I wouldn’t hesitate if that was me.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
