Just had a text from my GP to arrange a blood test.  Now I feel nervous.  I guess this will be the test as to whether my healthy eating attempts have made any difference even if I haven't lost a lot of weight.

I'd better wait until next week to book it, to see whether I or anyone else gets the bug.

I haven't done the financials yet, but I've done a lot of cleaning today which is a good thing! It was desperately needed.

Little miss has tonsillitis by the looks of her throat.  She's been in bed most of the day but no more sickness thankfully.

I hope the little miss feels better soon. I used to suffer very badly with tonsillitis so know how rotten it makes you feel.

Sorry to hear about little miss. I, too, suffered multiple bouts and was scheduled to have my tonsils out but we moved before it was done and it never caught up with me. My dd also suffered only over time she started getting quinsy and still has the occasional bout even in her 40s. I hope little miss feels better soon. My remedy - lots of ice cream. It doesnt make the tonsilitis better but is very enjoyable.

Thank you.  I always wonder how I never had mine removed, I had it so frequently.  I got glandular fever around 18, and after that, I very rarely got it again, I think my tonsils had enough!  I have started getting it mildly again since I had the kids, but nowhere near as often or as bad as I used to.  I must have passed the susceptibility gene on to them as little jwil's had it a few times.  DH has never had it.

Little miss has been refusing ice cream even!  She has quite enjoyed sucking on ice cubes though.
