Yes - I'm not sure I'd find that as beneficial. I could do a version of that if I wanted - but TBH too busy right now. I tend to take time back when it is slacker and let workload dictate my hours as it is a bit swings and roundabouts my job. Right now it's intense.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I do similar, I do two very long days, and two days of more normal length. When I'm really busy I can increase the hours on the normal days, and when I'm quieter, I may leave a bit earlier. It can be very challenging, and I know a lot wouldn't like it, but it works for me and it makes the week go very quickly.savingholmes said:Yes - I'm not sure I'd find that as beneficial. Housework like all other work expands to fill the time available to do it.

I try and get as much done as I can on other days so it doesn't impact on my Fridays 😁NeverendingDMP said:I'm currently off on Fridays so I'll join in as a Friday slacker. I spend the day doing shopping housework and washing though but eventually one day it will be a TV or book day surely 😂

I've enjoyed my day today, it was nice being alone again!
I went into town this morning to the library, and also may have bought myself a few tops - so much for frugal September! In my defence, they are to replace some which are quite worn now and looking a bit tatty. I've gone down a size too, not because I think I've necessarily lost inches, but some of my tops were feeling a bit tent like. Time to have another look through my clothes now, and have a good clear out.
I did a bit of housework when I got home, and then sat with my book for a bit before going to get the kids. Little miss has been swimming, and it was so hot and humid in the viewing gallery I felt quite sick. Thank goodness for the aircon in the car."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
