Glad it made you smile.
I'm still not ready to take on that level of exasperation again... but there are things I miss out on because of that.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Yes, I was having this conversation with a friend the other week - but then there are many things you don't miss out on too. Life is never perfect I guess."Think of many things, do one"

Inevitably it is about being with someone where the bits you are missing out on, outweigh the bits that cause exasperation. I think a big part of it is both being willing to compromise on what seems trivial to you (leaving my porridge bowl in the sink to soak) but drive the OH wild (poor Mr KK - I only realised when I asked him to stop doing something and he asked me to stop doing that in a huge emotional burst - most unlike him - I no longer leave bowls soaking in the sink and smile wryly when occasionally he absent-mindedly does …. 😉).

c. 16 months reduction in term

I've updated my signature and equity now at 28%. Huge improvement on the 5% just over three years ago. Current plans are for us to take lump sums from our pensions in a couple of years time to pay off the H2B, leaving us with a mortgage of around £175k to keep chipping away at. It's all starting to sound very manageable with a bit of luck and hauling ourselves back onto a slighter speedier MFW train very soon.
