Sorry you were awake at crazy hours.

Good to set boundaries - especially over work/life balance.

Hope you had some fun this weekend. You reminded me to declutter - and I've done 2.5 hours in the last ten days. Progress.

Thanks savingholmes, its only a bit of lost sleep, but I seem to need it more and more the older I get.  I try and have a good rest at the weekends to make up for it, which does help, but I'd rather have a good nights sleep.

Yes, boundaries and balance - key to the rest of life.  I really need to develop a habit of not caring quite so much about some things.  Sounds weird to say as I'm a very caring person, but its something that people can take for granted and take advantage of.  I'm going to focus on this from now on and will say no at least once a day, even if I want to say yes   If I practice saying no enough, firmly but politely, eventually it will become normal - to me and to others.  Start small Sandy.

We did some work in the garden this weekend and its all looking really promising.  Followed by a trip to the recycling centre, then shopping and cooking a Sunday roast.  My aim is to start prioritising time for myself again, its great to get out even if its just on a nice walk and just let your thoughts slot back into place again.

Great that you're decluttering savingholmes, my decluttering took me an age, but I'm much better at moving things on these days.  I have a wardrobe and a chest of drawers for clothes and if it doesn't fit in there something has to go.  I tried a capsule wardrobe a while back, but couldn't seem to get the hang of it.  I like the idea of a kind of uniform for home and work that you rotate.

Just popping to report another payday has been and gone, and an another £1k OP made   Regular payment should come out tomorrow too, so I will update my signature in a day or two - but we must have knocked another month off so it will hopefully be an August 38 end date.

Thanks @savingholmes and @KajiKita. It feels like we are heading towards the next big target much quicker now - and next month should see us having knocked a whole year off which is super-motivating.

I had a productive but slightly tiring day today - returning some unused stuff (about £50), and then made some unnecessary but nice purchases. I finally bought a new sheet for our bed - the new mattress is much deeper so the old sheets weren't quite big enough. The time had arrived today when a deep sheet was purchased and I'm very pleased with it - it fits really well and looks a lot more grown up 😂. I'll need to buy a spare one and then I'll feel really grown up. Followed by a trip to Mr A and Mr L, which always wears me out, but supplies are gathered now and so there shouldn't be a need for further trips very soon. Now the weather is nicer I'm hoping to get out in the garden even more and do some planting (purchased a hosta today) and tidying. Its not a huge garden but every small thing we do makes such a difference.

Love feeling grown up by having well fitting sheets. I know exactly what you mean 😉
