Today has been an absolute bunch of a*se. Normal service will hopefully resume tomorrow.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!4 -

Thanks lovely readers, We are both ok. Yesterday's absolutely infuriating hassle seems to have been resolved but I will know for sure later when Mr F gets back from the city centre. Am currently in our sunny veg garden clearing jungly herb bed which I've ignored all summer, apart from picking bits. Just planted out next year's parsley (grown from free seed - my favourite kind!) & am about to plant out several nice sturdy little pots of chives. These were from a yellow-stickered supermarket pot which cost less than a packet of seeds. I divided them up & grew them on & they are now strong enough for planting out.
Autumn is gardener's new year, & another reason I love it.

Yesterday I finished the last of some white bias that had been hanging around in 1 of my sewing tins for over 3 decades. There were only 11 pieces of pre-cut (by me) lengths left so on they went to my collection of linen tea towels so they could be hung up off the freezer handle. Double win for me today.
I need to start baking again as I have plenty of stock to use up wisely. I need to pop to FarmF to get some good priced real butter. I have previously made my own butter but non of late.
Anything is better than nothing-check back and see
