Sounds like you have a good plan for the grocery budget. We’ve also got a holiday and birthday in April, although not until the latter part. Hope all goes well for Ash tomorrow.

Thanks all. He's eaten his dinner & gone out for a wander. When he comes in, we will have to block the cat flap very thoroughly as he managed to get out last time by sort of slaloming down a bin lid. He has to be kept in overnight as he is nil-by-mouth from midnight & doesn't need 'accidentally' to eat a mouse.
Shall be very relieved when it's over. Ash is afraid of strangers. He only likes us, so it will be a stressful day for him. What a shame that tooth root got left behind ☹️. Am thankful that we don't need to pay again. Even though it was spotted 4 months after the dental surgery, the vet said it will be covered as after-care. Ash did have 2 post-op check-ups but I expect the root wasn't visible due to inflammation. Poor little sausage.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!10 -
It’s such a worry when our furry friends undergo general anaesthetic. I was on tenterhooks all day when our dog had her ear op last year. She was 13 at the time. Just think ahead to when Ash is back home looking for treats again.

hope all goes smoothly for Ash tomorrow.
You've prompted me to have a very careful grocery spend for April. I have a good underspend for March which I've topped up to £40 and donated to my eldest grandchild for their driving lessons. I shall motivate myself in April by thinking that the less £'s I give the supermarket the more £'s I can give my grandchild's driving instructor 😁

Keeping paws and eyes crossed for Ash tomorrow. Sending you and Ash hugs (and some for Soot left by himself.).

I hope it all goes smoothly for Ash today and I will be thinking of you - it’s so stressful when you have to leave them at the vets (for everyone!). Does he have gabapentin to chill him out before you leave home? I have found that although not perfect, it definitely reduces stress for my boys - they are the same, very scaredy cats when it comes to strangers/leaving their patch.

Sending all positive vibes for Ash’s procedure. And hugs for you as it is an anxious making process.
