All my tomatoes, sweetpeas and geranium plants (pelargonium) are sitting on trays by my patio doors. Getting mightily fed up as it’s only been warm enough to put them outside to harden the off a few days. Can’t entice Dh put into the garden for him to build a planter to home my sweet peas as he is never a more fair weather gardener than I am. Hopefully I’ll get him out there over the next couple of days.Pack for every weather - we can have 4 seasons in 1 day. I’m sitting under a heated blanket 😳Roll on summer ☀️January spends - £587.589

I hope it warms up for your big birthday holiday and for my return from Lanzarote or it’s going to be a shock to the system 32 degrees today 😎 Surely we are due a good summer after all this cold weather 🙏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

@milann - I planted my sweet-peas out yesterday, but only the biggest ones, which were sown back in October. I have used a few sheets of tough glass (recycled shelves from old fridge & bathroom cabinet!) leaning against their wigwam to offer a bit of protection. I've left the much smaller Spring-sown ones in the cold frame until the weather warms up.
@Sun_Addict - Weather looks to be iffy, tbh, but I am now confident I am taking clothes which will cover all weather eventualities except blizzard & heatwave! But we have booked a lovely cottage, I have gin & have also spotted presents & cards being packed 🙂. We are just looking forward to having a whole week by the sea.

Oh my life! There's even a lawn frost this morning! Bird bath frozen & very icy cars. Looked at the thermostat at 6.10 & it was 14.5°. Outrageous for nearly May!
