I hope all goes well for both you and your sister with the appointments. Please get something in to treat yourselves and enjoy relaxing in your pretty garden later.4

Thanks so much all of you lovely readers for your good wishes. Having read all of your scan/bra experiences, I chose a non-wired bra to wear today. It does have metal shoulder strap adjusters, but as they weren't venturing up that high, the Foxgloves boobs were allowed to remain clad, thus saving the local population from the alternative on the walk back to the car in my flimsy summer dress!
Intend to relax for the rest of the day & try not to overthink the results. Expect I shall hear next week.

Thank-you. I don't like the waiting, but I keep telling myself that at least I'm in the system & being seen pretty promptly.
Well, it's 8.07 am & I've already been round the house opening windows & have opened up the greenhouse. I'm sitting in the conservatory with the french doors & windows flung wide, drinking a mug of ginger tea & reading a Sunday newspaper. Anything that kicks off the news with a certain blonde oaf's departure is a good start for me.
A hot day forecast for here - 29° & no sign of any of the rain which was initially promised. Neither of us (or Soot) enjoy hot temperatures. Mr F generally folds at 25° & me a ° later, so we are not planning a lot of physical garden jobs today. He's outside weeding a veggie bed in the shade so I can get the chard planted out. I will potter around with my secateurs later, doing a bit of much needed deadheading. I also need to pick more sweetpeas to keep them coming - lovely natural free fragrance for the house. Oh, & I've snipped a recipe out of yesterday's newspaper which looks frugal, healthy & tasty.
Apart from that, it's a day of reading in the garden, progressing my knitting (complicated shawl) & discussing the week ahead. Have put 2 lick-lix in the fridge so Soot & Ash can have a cool treat later on. Need to synchronise diaries with Mr F over coffee later so I feel organised going into the week ahead. I like a good strong organised Monday morning in particular - I was the same when I was working - it's that feeling of getting the new week's plans off to a good start.
Well m'dears.......sun cream, hydration & at least a bit of relaxation, please. Off to remind Mr F to fetch the fan down from the loft.

We're still getting cool temperatures and rain here in "sunny California" - only 17C and rain predicted for next couple of days. We should have been having nice clear weather already to help with spring cleaning. Sweetpeas are my favorite flower. My grandmother grew a fence of them thirty feet long and I loved going out in the backyard to sniff them. She also had an avocado tree that outperformed any I've ever seen - 2500 one year alone. It was huge. She had a victory garden during the war and kept it up. I got my love of vegetable gardening from her. I think the quilting gene came from her also but the knitting, crocheting, and sewing was from the other grandmother. Being the oldest and first granddaughter on either side, I learned a lot from them both. For some reason none of it was taught to my other two sisters!10
