Thanks both for the weight loss encouragement.
@Baileys_Babe - I used the standard recipe from Dove 'Freee' flour. It's bound to be online, I should think. I've sampled a small piece & have to say it's much nicer than I thought it would be..

Just a suggestion on the knitting pattern - maybe if you have one use a music stand or similar . Avoids having to look to the side.
If you haven't got one maybe you could borrow one or try charity shops.4 -
Thanks @ellenvan. Actually I did once own a music stand as I used to sing. I play the piano regularly, but of course I don't require a stand for that, so no longer have one.
It did occur to me when I read your post that I could use my recipe book stand, so I might try that, although the problem has been reduced by enlarging part of the pattern by writing it out in easy-to-see marker pen.

I’m pleased to hear that your back is improving. Gs at this time though when it’s getting better that it’s so easy to overdo it and mess it up again.Your knitting sounds amazing as per usual.January spends - £587.584

I always cut loaves in two & freeze half, @Baileys_Babe, as there's only the two of us. Mostly I eat bread as toast though, so it won't be too much of a problem.

Hello Frugal Diary Friends,
Have been keeping busy today. Hospital scan this morning. Further tests required, which is a worry & I have had a wobble, but keeping gently but persistently busy has helped curb the overthinking. (I don't want to discuss this btw, but am just mentioning it in case I end up not posting for a little while).
Today's small wins:
*Hospital car park full to bursting, so street parking for us, which also meant free parking.
*Mr F got a sudden urge to turn out the freezer, so I made a new freezer list which meant......
*.....I could write next week's meal plans using stuff we already have in stock, so........
*.....I could get on & write the grocery shopping list........
*......which meant that the Waitbl00m portion of the grocery shopping is now done & put away.
*Think only cat meat & sausages left to buy in town on Saturday, so we should hopefully come in on budget for May's groceries, possibly a bit under.
*Finally sorted out tomato plants & put some in bigger pots so they don't stunt before it's their time to be planted into their outdoor positions. Started hardening off the 9 outdoor ones. Planted 3 indoor ones into their grow bag & chose the ones which will go into the greenhouse border at the weekend. 18 plants in all - 7 different varieties.
*Weeded a small flower bed & planted out another tray of echium blue bedder.
*Cheapo meal tonight as it's jacket potato night. Yes, Mr F IS making Man Stew to go on his (will involve various use-it-ups). I've defrosted a spare portion of chicken mince bolognese to have on mine.
Time for a couple of chapters of my book, then I shall close the greenhouse & cold frame & take up residence on the sofa.
Take care all,
F x

Sending positive vibes for your further tests. Remember the Law of Attraction and positive thinking, it really does work. x
Don't you just hate hospital car parks. Ours is nearly always full, even after they added a new multi story bit to it....and street parking is a nightmare round there....all silly one way streets and no spaces anywhere. Think people are stressed enough when going to an appointment, without the extra stress of finding a parking space.
Sounds like you've had a very productive day.
Love jacket potato night. Ours was last night....its sausage casserole in slow cooker today. Hopefully there's enough for 2 nights.Making the debt go down and savings go up
