Everything done. Just having 10 mins in the sunshine on my reading bench before I go & see if the laundry has dried. It's defo warm enough to give any damp items another hour or so, if necessary.
I found the box of Evil Weevil nematodes I bought in the fridge, which I'd forgotten about. Luckily they were just still in date, so I sorted out my container heucherellas which stand on our back courtyard & gave them a thorough nematoding. They are attractive plants for a mostly shady area, but unfortunately, they seem to be no.1 foodstuff of choice for evil weevils.
Also found the grubs in a pot of sempervivum, which explains why the blackbirds have been showing such an interest. Re-potted & looks as though there'll be sufficient roots to effect a recovery. Not so sure about Heucherella "Sweet Tea" as the roots had been well & truly chomped to oblivion, but I've potted up 6 tiny crowns in the hope 1 or 2 of them will strike.
I think I'll snip a few wild garlic leaves to chop & chuck in with the pork hash I'm making tonight.
Can you believe, I'm sitting here in a jersey dress with a t-shirt underneath, no cardi, no shawl, & I'm so hot I think I shall have to move! Let's hope temperatures are becoming more spring-like now, & we can all get working on our energy credit.
Ah well, all nice 10.min rests must come to an end. Off to fetch the peg bag..Ooh, the glamour of my life......

The sun has just come out here, been overcast all day, but the washing is almost dry, so will leave it a bit longer.

Lol, I wouldn't fancy doing a YouTube channel at all, @Makingabobor2..I did used to have a blog, which was gardening & old-style living, but I stopped it some years ago.

We had that drizzly rain this morning, tho all the weather apps said it was sunshine all day. Thankfully by one o’clock it started to disappear. Temp did go up but nothing dramatic. I am so ready for some proper spring weather.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.007

Lovely and warm here today too. Bed linen dried outside and smells so fresh and clean. I'm not very keen on gardening but I'm delighted with my daffodil and tulips that I planted back in The Autumn when I first went part-time. I've planted some spring onions and some herbs and my neighbour has promised some tomato plants (as a swop for apples from our tree last year).8

@Blackcats - Well, there's no problem with starting small. Perhaps this coming Autumn, you could add some of those delightfully pretty mini-irises to your bulb displays. It's often getting the enjoyment from cheery (or edible!) seasonal results that first encourages people to have a go in the garden. I once had a friend who loathed gardening, but who only ever did weeding & cut the lawn, never ever grew anything, so never got to share in any of the joy of it.

Hello Campers!
Pleasant day. Not been feeling amazingly brilliant, but my best friend rang to see how I was getting on & it was nice to have a good long chat as well as a bit of a moan. She's a good listener & very practical. Mr F is on one of his extremely late shifts today, but he went in at lunchtime, so we went to our favourite garden centre at breakfast time for scones & coffee. Personal Spends of course, I haven't been sanctioning illicit use of the grocery budget, lol!
Sorted out all yesterday's dry laundry, which meant I was able to progress my wider wardrobe blitz, as I had garments to pack into the charity shop bag, things to iron for photographing ready for listing on the Bay & some more winter garments for adding to my storage bag. I don't need to do anything else today, except for watering the greenhouse babies, so will go & do that next, then it's just pottering around jobs, giving cats their treats & dinner, making tomorrow's packed lunch, & choosing something to watch tonight while I am Super-Important Supreme Operator of the Remote Control. I'm intending to get all the little annoying f*rty tidying jobs out of the way to free myself up for a decent session in the greenhouse tomorrow - priority tasks will be pr i cking out lettuce & basil.
So a short one from me today,
F x

I also love reading about your gardening exploits Foxgloves - it provides some inspiration ready for when we (Finally!) have a garden of our own! We've been pottering round the little patch we have in front of the flat recently starting to make mental notes of the things we want to make sure we take out and get into pots so they can go with us - MIL is having a go at getting gooseberry cuttings going for us, I'll get some winter jasmine runners dug up and potted at some stage, there is a pretty pink and purple Pulmonaria which came from my great aunt's garden when we first moved in to the flat which I definitely plan to rescue, and a small but lovely snakes head fritillary alongside it too. Oh - and I'll be nabbing some of the aquilegia once they have flowered this year too - probably my favourite plant and I love the way they self seed too - once they've flowered I'll be able to choose a few favourites.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

@EssexHebridean - I absolutely agree that all of those planty treasures definitely need nabbing. I brought heaps of plants with me from my old house. In fact, the removal lorry men commented that it was the first time they'd ever moved a worm composter unit!
It will be lovely having your own garden. We are nowhere near self-sufficient for fruit & veg, but there are times of the year when what we do grow impacts very positively on our food budget. I look forward to hearing all about what you are growing when 'the move' happens. Sooner rather than later, I hope.

Ha, I moved pots too! Although not in the removal lorry - I rehomed them with a friend for a few weeks then retrieved them myself. I also brought cuttings- some of the willow that I unwisely planted round our tiny garden, and which is far better suited to the space we have here. My rosemary cuttings are now a nice rosemary Bush 😊 Sadly thr fuchsia didn't survive, which is a shame as it was a glorious one! I love reading about your garden pottering as well!10
