2/18 Good start for meMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -

2/10 AFDs please
Provided it's not a problem for you @cathybird, I think it's a good idea to put the emojis on a link as well as the board. You never know when MSE will run updates which have unintended consequences. ☹️3 -
Dusty reporting in ,after a very long hiatus. I have been seriously ill all through April, and in fact several months before. My treacherous auto-immune system went totally crazy, and every part of my body that could be affected was impacted,a few things at a time. The nasty list included things like eye infections, ear infections, which lead to a month of vertigo, mouth ulcers, phlegm,UTI,alternating diarrhoea and constipation, joint pains swollen knees so bad couldnt walk at all even if the vertigo would let me.I had my B12 needle in March, but I think all the illnesses burned up the meds struggling to make red blood cells to fight,,and now while I have survived all those dire illnesses,I have all the miserable symptoms from pernicious anaemia and thyroid issues that I get when my B12 jab has worn off - and I still have 5 weeks to go,with fatigue, gasping for breath, etc etc all in full force.Tried to get an earlier B12 jab,but our surgery is totally for a one size fits all policy, everyone gets one jab every 12 weeks.I have to wait till 4 June weak as a kitten.Being ill did make it easy to have my first full AF month for ages.30/24.Because of my deteriorating health I may have to go permanent total AF,but at least for this month I will post my usual 24 AFDs.Now for the bad news that pushes aside my mundane woes. You may remember Mr Dusty had a stroke 6 months ago,and has lost most of his speech, when he does stammer a few words its in his native language. Unfortunately his annual blood tests have shown he has a rare blood disorder called Essential Thrombocythaemia,ET.His blood platelets, which should be down in the 200 range are a massive 756!. His blood is sort of thick and sticky which can cause strokes. He started May 1st on a chemo tablet called hydroxycarbamide.,which is supposed to good for reducing those platelets, try to make the blood less sticky as to avoid more strokes. There is a slight hope that the ET which caused the stroke may be connected with Mr Dusty's massive sudden decline mentally.Inside he still understands, can follow the news intelligently.etc. If they reduce the platelets, maybe he be become clearer mentally. That is our hope.We havent been puzzled why if it is dementia it came on so strong and suddenly, rather thar slowly as is common. We dont know. Mr D has to have regular blood tests to check on his progress. We will have a telephone call from a haematology nurse on 23rd May.and get hopefully more info. Two days ago we had never heard of essential thrombocythaemia or hydroxycarbamide, and are still learning to get our tongues around those terms. ET for short and the drug is known as Hydrea! lolOK,I will plod on as ever, but for now can cathybird please put me down for 3/243
