Quick visit to post 14/26 but sadly Mr Dusty had a bad episode this weekend. He may have had a mini stroke,or just a massive increase in his dementia, but he lost his speaking ability. Spent most of yesterday with doctors etc,and 4 hours in A&E. A Cat scan showed nothing,he will be getting a MRI soon, since it can show things in finer detailCould have been a mini stroke,so can maybe improve,we can but wait, hope and pray.At least he could come home. so thats a blessing. He cant put more than two words together, and often it is in his own native language. 40 years since I lived there, you can imagine just how bad I am remembering the language now! lol.But he is making attempts to communicate, though it is so distressing for all concerned. Still has his big sweet smile, and is still sharp, trying to work round the difficulties.Today some of the family had a drink, but I didnt,my stomach is churning enough as it is,dont want alcoholic depression added to the mix. This is the first quiet moment today, numerous visitors, phone calls, replying to texts etc.I am shattered. Now got to coax Mr D to eat and in particular drink any fluid, vital for his recoveryApologies if I am AWOL for a while, all priorities need rerouting, but I will certainly try to stay AF,giving way would be catastrophic.4
