10/18 please.Just been listening to a podcast about the John Robins and his relationship with alcohol, it's worth a listen. Here is a link if you are interested https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0fscstpThe bit about John starts at about 14 minutes.
Nothing to see here, move along.4 -
Good luck to all in your efforts. As an heavy Ex smoker and drinker (HM forces) my wife and myself have been smoke and alcohol free for about 12 years. Not sure on the savings ££ over that time but the health benefits are massive. Still occasionally fancy a drink and a smoke but just remove ourselves from this situations.Good luck in achieving your goals.

Bad at updating daily but am on 11/21
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
Loads!! Hi all. 15 today. Car air con' all done, good job too. One off our singers has gone to NYC so it's the other 'gal' fronting the band alone, this week. She's done it before so no worries at all there. Same venue as once before, oddly. It's a curse!Tigerpilot said:Good luck to all in your efforts. 9/20 for me today please.
Yesterday DH and I went to try out the local pub/eatery that has just been taken over by the brewery after the owners couldn't make it pay. It was dire! Nobody to greet diners as they arrived, no-one behind the bar, the front of house person didn't know where the bookings were (to be fair, she said it was her very first shift). When our food arrived, DH's burger was incinerated. No self respecting chef would serve up a burger in that state. My "seafood" pie was mostly awful sauce. We definitely won't be returning. It's such a shame because they're dog-friendly, and just a 10 minute walk away. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3 -
You never know, they might get their act together given a little time - some restaurants do (though of course some don't!). If it's within 10 minutes I'd let them know I wasn't happy, see what the reviews say in a couple of months' time?satchmo1 said:9/20 for me today please.
