I did fancy a drink last night but found an elderly bottle of Becks Blue at the back of the cupboard which oddly did the trick.Books read 2023 - 49/757 -

Hi all! Strange gig last night, started with a big row with the venue's neighbour! We were unloading our equipment when this - er - lady appeared from the house next door and accused us of "being in her home" and threatening her."Why have you got five men here?" - er - because we're the band. "How many more are going to threaten me?". Then her grandson appeared and apologised profusely. I'd heard the pub had problems with someone who kept locking gates on a public right-of-way past the pub to the river - I suspect this to be the same person. The pub has bands every Saturday as well as karaoke, discos etc so it's hardly anything new. Apart frorm that, it was fairly full, not everyone was partaking of Dry January!
Anyway 8/30 please!Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!7 -
7/26 please cathybird.Bring on my New Year sign!why do the Xmas/New Year celebrations already feel so far away and long ago? Bare walls look miserable after removing all the cheerful decorations,we are north facing so the room is rather dark and dreary, nothing but nasty grey skies and cold winds outside. But in here at least it is lovely and toasty warm, and I dont have to go out in the cold.6
