Arkers, so very sorry to read of your friend's loss, just unimaginable levels of shock for all. I hope it will be a comfort in times that organs have helped others.4

Hi all, mid-emoji day! 17/30 so happy with that.
Played a gig with new singer yesterday, her first with us - she didn't know until noon yesterday (In at the deep end!).
Just 10 songs and must say - she was terrific! Between you, me and the gatepost (as the saying goes) I think she could move up to a higher level than us - and we're quite good - not great but reasonable. Hope not though. Full gig tonight and it's "Wlcome to Pub Rock"!Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!4 -
Sorry to hear your sad news Arkers, that must have been a terrible shock for all involved - keep strong and I hope that it helps to know that we are all thinking of you. Going to declare early for the first time - 12/21 please Cathybird.6

@Arkers
so sad to hear about your friend's daughter.
I was sorrowful when I learned earlier this year that my organs are no longer harvestable due to ongoing-for-life chemotherapy.
An uncle of mine lived an extra 25 years due to a kidney transplant in the 1970s - one of the first in the North West. He had a grab bag ready at all times, and had to take the next train to London on receiving the phone call. He had a special train pass that entitled him to a first class seat for that journey, no matter what.What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?5 -
