  • Hey @Gettingmyshiztogether - great plan and great update. I'm cheering you on! ✌️We have a similar amount of debt, and aiming at a similar time frame to get rid of it - we can do this! 🥳

Big Dave Ramsey fan here too - I also like Pete Matthew who’s a British version but less shouty 🤣

Such a huge achievement to get to the end of the month and still have money after being in overdrafts. I know the feeling well and it’s so great having a bit of money spare! Cheering you on in your debt payoff x
    Credit Card 1 - £6249.99 £4,900
    Credit Card 2 - £13,481.47 £12,985

    Total debt - £19,731.46 £17,885

    Emergency fund £930

May I ask, why do you leave your tax return until so near the deadline, it must make it more stressful.  Even if you do it right near the end of the tax year you still don't need to pay it until this month.  I help a friend file his & he gets later every year.  If I say anything he just shrugs.

  • Just wanted to pop in to say "Hello" 👋

I am making our tea, we are having Harrissa Bean Stew out of the freezer, with mashed Swede and broccoli (also out of the freezer) with some £1.50 Club card Priced sausages. So whilst that cooks on the hob I am here!

I gave notice on my job yesterday, the one that takes a lot of time and energy for not a lot of return. I felt awful but I know it is the right thing to do, and honestly I feel relieved.

Today, I happened across ths concept of "Matched Betting". I am going to do some more research on that later, with the potential of doing some of that to help with my financial transformation! 🤞

    Has anyone tried it before?

There are a lot of people on DFW & MFW who do matched betting but before you try do make sure that you are never going to become addicted.  There are things you need to check out before you start & I am sure someone will be along soon to point you in the right direction.

Thank you, I'll go and have a search over there also
